Some ideas instead of two Thursday games (all times Eastern):
1. Monday Night doubleheader (8:00pm / 11:30pm)
2. Sunday Night doubleheader (8:00pm / 11:30pm)
3. Sunday quadruple-header (12pm / 3:15pm / 6:30pm / 9:45pm)

2. Sunday Night doubleheader (8:00pm / 11:30pm)

Monday doubleheader works for me if the Sunday one got shot down. Hell, do both and eliminate the Thursday game completely except for on Thanksgiving.

Why not Friday night? Every bar is loaded for happy hour on each coast, no competition for ratings and most do not work on Saturday. Who wouldn't want to start the weekend right after a long week of work with some football?

See my post earlier in this thread. There's an anti-trust exemption which prevents games on Fridays and Saturdays.Fourslot40 wrote:Why not Friday night?

Maybe there's sanity yet in the NFL offices:
NFL VP/Communications Brian McCarthy this morning tweeted that the league has “not considered” selling another package of Thursday night games in response to a Wall Street Journal article. He Tweeted, "Wondering where the idea of Thursday night doubleheaders came from? So are we. We have not considered this."

Sounds like thursdays are here to stay despite a crappy product, so to improve the quality, add extra bye-weeks for teams so that no one ever has to play on 4 days rest. Saturday would be best though.....but legal crap in the way

For this to work, every week in the NFL would see 2 teams on a bye.Old School wrote:Sounds like thursdays are here to stay despite a crappy product, so to improve the quality, add extra bye-weeks for teams so that no one ever has to play on 4 days rest. Great idea to improve the Thursday product, but as a fantasy player, I hope they don't go down this rabbit hole.

Ratings were terrible for the Sunday night game that started at 11:30. That's not happening as a regular feature.

#3 would be my choice.
Other two are brutal for people on the east coast or midwest who have to work for a living.
Re: Will The NFL Add MORE Thursday Night Games?
#3 is my only choice. much to late to start on east coast for the other choices.
THIS IS THE BUSINESS WE HAVE CHOSEN
