Agree with you 100% Matt.......H2H has WAY too much value. I would love to see all play or power rankings......would practically guarantee the best teams had a shot at the $$$, rather than these random H2H teams that are in the bottom half of the league in points getting in.

Problem is that it is a game operator's dream to have the "underdog" win it all. Sells more entries the following season, because ANYONE can win it all! ;)

your right billy on the problem of the underdog getting a chance to win. thats what keeps the sales up for greg and tom which allows us to play here which is the best game out there. you need that to keep the volume up. maybe some sort of weighted system can be a compromise. something like if you have 2nd most pts you start out 10% less than season ave. or 3erd in pts you start out 20% less and so on. these are just numbers i am throwing out and can adjusted.
While I agree that makes the game more fair and I would like something like that, the problem is that adding complications to the scoring system is bad business in my opinion. The closer the contest is to the 12 team head to head leagues that your average customer plays with their friends at work, the more likely they are to join the contest in my opinion.

Let me reiterate that anything that rewards points over h2h and the 13 week point race over the 3 week dash is preferable to me. I just understand where the game operators are coming from because the further you change the scoring system from what people are used to, the harder it probably is to attract new customers. Who knows though... I'm here because I love 3rd round reversal and that points is more important than H2H.

I thought it was for both, but maybe I am mistaken?
Correct. The league playoffs are a total reset: Total points between the two of you from Weeks 14-16. We've always had it that way. Two teams won an equal share of the regular season title and now it's a total reset for the last part of the title and the league prize money.

Just my opinion.
Every year someone suggests that the weekly average should be 1.5x or 2x your weekly average. Every year our Championship Rounds are decided by just a couple of points. We've tweaked our Championship Rounds in the past to let in more teams, but we have not tweaked this part of our scoring system and at this point I don't see a reason to. The weekly average is 25% of your Championship Round score. If we double that, it would be 40% of your score. Yes, some people feel it should be that or more, but we feel it already has 1/4th of your score and now the best team in Weeks 14-16 (just like we see in the NFL playoffs) will be highly rewarded.

Again, we understand why some owners want 1.5x or 2x, but we don't see a need to change at this point from 1x and giving the weekly scoring average more than 25% of the Championship Round total.
