The injury isn't crippling to the Packers. Losing Rodgers would be crippling.

However, it is an enormous blow. First off remember last season the Packers' passing game revolved almost entirely around Nelson and Cobb. Adams, while quite talented, was often MIA. Assuming Adams improves there is now a trickle down effect since it's unlikely Janis or Montgomery will be as good in the No. 3 WR role as Adams was expected to be this season. Tack on the fact the TEs on this team are terrible and there is enormous pressure on Adams. He doesn't need to be Nelson nor should anyone expect him to be. But he must be very good because, while Rodgers is great, the passing game options aren't expansive now.

There's still a lot to like with this offense with Rodgers, Cobb, Lacy and Adams. But losing Nelson is an enormous blow. He is an elite WR and any team that loses a player of that stature will feel the pain.
