One of the nice things about having a Friday bid period is that you don't have to go a lot of players deep in a bid group to replace bye or injured players. This rule changes that. Now we have to go through that needless task if they involve Thursday players. Should never have to have an official lineup until after waivers are ran far the week. The competition allows you to run your team as you need to by the way.

Awful rule to not be able to bench them. Who gives a damn if they don't pick up anyone Friday? They get a zero anyway.

Not sure why this is any different than someone starting someone who is on IR (i.e. not paying attention to their team anymore).
