Okay, we will be getting the Keeper League page live shortly. We had to finalize the deposit needed for Keeper Leagues, the prizes and the keeper scenarios. We've finalized all of that and I've updated the original thread.

We have determined that each price point has a different deposit required with the initial signup and that deposit is returned and used toward your third year entry fee when you return for Year 3. You lose the deposit if you abandon your team after Year 1 or Year 2 and that may offset any loss we take for replacing ownership.

We also increased the prizes in each league to put payouts at 83.33 percent and increased first place payouts in each league. We also decided that Keepers move up 2 rounds from the previous year's draft when you keep them and we explained what happens if two players would qualify as First Round Keeper picks. All of that is below. Here are the changes:

NFFC KEEPER LEAGUES
Game Information
Entry Fee: $250 (plus $100 deposit), $500 (plus $150 deposit) & $1,000 (plus $200 deposit). All deposits are put toward the 3rd year entry when the same owner returns for Year 3.

Overview:
NFFC Keeper Leagues require a deposit along with the initial entry fee (so $100 deposit with a $250 entry). The deposit is lost when an owner abandons a keeper league within the first two years, which allows the NFFC to more easily sell orphaned teams. Even orphaned teams will require a deposit. The deposit is put toward the third-year entry fee when the same owner returns for Year 3 of his/her Keeper League.

Prizes
The team with the best H2H record after Week 13 will earn $250 (double for $500 and 4x for $1,000 leagues) and the team with the most total points after Week 13 will earn $250 (double for $500 and 4x for $1,000 leagues). One team can win both prizes.

The Top 4 teams will advance to the league Championship Round. Teams will carry their weekly scoring average from Weeks 1-13 into the Championship Round and add that total to their scoring totals in Weeks 14, 15 and 16. The highest scoring team in the Championship Round after Week 16 wins the league prize.

League playoff qualifiers from each league include:
• Seed #1: Best H2H record (total points is the tie-breaker)
• Seed #2: Most total points (next most total points if H2H champ had more points)
• Seed #3: Next most total points
• Seed #4: Next most total points

League prizes are awarded to the top 3 teams in the following format:
• 1st Place: Most points in the Championship Round
• 2nd Place: Next most points in the Championship Round
• 3rd Place: Next most points in the Championship Round

League Prizes - $250 Leagues
1st Place - $1,250
2nd Place - $500
3rd Place - $250
League head-to-head regular season champion - $250
League Total Points regular season champion - $250

League Prizes - $500 Leagues
1st Place - $2,500
2nd Place - $1,000
3rd Place - $500
League head-to-head regular season champion - $500
League Total Points regular season champion - $500

League Prizes - $1,000 Leagues
1st Place - $5,000
2nd Place - $2,000
3rd Place - $1,000
League head-to-head regular season champion - $1,000
League Total Points regular season champion - $1,000

Keeper Guidelines:
Each team in each league is allowed to keep a maximum of 5 players (and you can keep less if you want) from the previous year. The players that are kept are bumped up 2 rounds from where they were drafted in the previous year. So if Lamar Jackson was a 10th round pick in 2019, he can be kept as an 8th round pick in 2020. Anyone drafted in Rounds 1, 2 or 3 and kept the next year will be kept as a 1st round pick. If you have multiple players who would qualify as a 1st round pick, then it would fall to the next round, meaning they’d qualify as 1st and 2nd round picks (and even 3rd round for a third player who would move up to 1st round status). The deadline for designating each team’s 5 keepers is April 1st.

Drafts will be scheduled after May 1st for the various leagues. Undrafted free agents who were picked up during the season via FAAB will be designated as Round 15 keepers the following year. If you keep multiple players who were undrafted free agents, the designations would be Round 15, Round 16, etc.

Just a reminder that these are all private leagues with no overall prize pool. If any group of 12 owners would like to form their own NFFC Keeper League, that can easily be done. Just give us the names of the owners, the date and time you'd like to host your draft and we'll create a special URL for just those members. I think we'll have a good combination of leagues we put together and leagues of NFFC buddies who want to compete together. We'll accommodate both sets.

Thanks all and enjoy.

Will there be trading of players and draft picks?

LIVE: Okay the NFFC Keeper Leagues contest pages are now live. You can find the different price points here:

https://nfc.shgn.com/gametypes/football/132

We are offering the following entry points:

$250 per team
$500
$1,000

Here's the rules:

https://nfc.shgn.com/rules/624

We will have deposits that can be earned back when you play for a third year:
$100 (for $250 league)
$150 (for $500 league)
$200 for $1,000 league)

This protects us if we have to sell orphaned teams after Year 1 or Year 2.

If you want a private Keeper League with 11 buddies, we can set up a special registration link and send to the owners. Easy enough. We won't host any drafts until after the NFL Draft April 23-25. Should be fun and welcome to our first Keeper format in NFFC history.

We'll create a separate Keeper League signup thread on the boards, but happy to report that our first NFFC Keeper League signup was from my Minnesota buddy Randy Mechels. He's up for a 2-Hour $1,000 league that will start drafting 30 minutes after the league forms. Welcome aboard Randy.

We will first set up 2-Hour and 4-Hour Keeper Leagues and can set up private leagues if you have 11 friends who would like to play in this format. If you want higher league fees, we can work that out too, as someone has already requested. We can even set those up as nightly drafts. Hope that helps.

Thanks all and look for the new signup list shortly:

Greg,

Two hours to make a pick in a keeper league won't work. The most fun draft in the world is a startup draft. But those clocks are typically 24 hours, not 2 hours. How can you work trades in such a short window???

Thanks to everyone who joined the NFFC $250 Keeper League last season as we debuted with four leagues. We hope to expand on this concept this year, but the first thing we have to do is get these existing leagues set up and ready for 2021.

First things first. Here are a few deadlines to know:

1) Saturday, May 1st is the deadline to pay for your team ($250) and pick your 5 Keepers. You don't have to keep 5 players, but you can keep up to 5. Remember that the players you keep move up 2 draft rounds from last year. So if you got a player in the 10th round, he is slotted as an 8th round pick this year. If you want to keep your 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks, they slot in as 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks. If you picked up two free agents that you want to keep, you will slot those as 15th and 16th round picks.

To pay by May 1st, just go to your My Teams page, click on the icon in the upper right and pull down to Make Payment. Put $250 on your account and Accounting will run the charge that night. If you need help, email me, Tom or Darik and we'll help.

2) If you DON'T want to return, let us know ASAP and we'll sell your team. You will lose the $100 deposit, but at least we'll have time to sell the team before draft day. Thank you.

3) Saturday, May 15th is KDS Deadline for this league. Set your KDS preferences and we'll place you in your top preferred spot when your turn comes up. We are going in reverse order of regular standings for the first 8 draft spots (12th place gets 1st preference, 11th place gets 2nd preference, etc.) and we'll go in reverse order of Championship Round standings for the last four teams. League champ gets 12th preference, runner-up gets 11th preference, 3rd place gets 10th preference and 4th place gets 9th preference).

4) We will set these up as 4-Hour Drafts to start on Monday, July 19th. This new draft room will account for draft spots that were traded in each round and retain your keepers in each round. This should be fun and very interesting.

Again, the key right now is to pay for your 2021 league entry and let us know if you are NOT returning. If we don't hear from anyone, we'll assume you are returning in 2021, have selected your Keepers and are good to go.

5) Oh, you can make your Keeper choices by going to your team page, click on Transactions and pull down to Keepers. Just put a check mark to the right of the player you want to Keep and in the right column it shows you what round you'll get him in this year. If you got Aaron Rodgers in Round 10 last year and you want to keep him in Round 8 this year, check the box and he's your 8th round pick this year.

6) KDS preferences can be found under League > League Home.

That should do it. Good luck all and thanks.
