WEEK 1 Waiver Wire

Post by Ted's Cracked Head » Fri Sep 12, 2008 3:10 pm

I paid 373 and knew it was probably 100 too much for Cassel but I believe the system will produce 20+ each week and thought I couldn't afford to leave him for anyone else.

I think he will do fine. He knows the offense like no one else and he has been getting the reps for quite a while. The tools around him are solid and I bet they rally around him.

I paid about 470 for Cassel in the Snake League but felt like I had to make sure I got him. When Trent Edwards is your backup and there are no other legitimate options on the WW you have to bid big.

The difference to me is that Cassel is in a system built for succes and if he fails the team fails and THEY know it.

Note: I think he is going to love Welker.
