What are your thoughts, Tom, on what you saw with the Giants QB's against the Chiefs?

Right now, we have a half league full in each. One thing is for baseball we had a strong late NY turnout for the auction league and we anticipate a similar response for football.

I think Warner's there to keep the seat warm and he'll likely open the season as the starter. I don't believe he'll start all 16 games, however. Manning will take over either due to injury, poor performance by Warner or the Giants being out of the playoff hunt. I think Manning starts at least 2 games this season.

I agree, Tom, but I think Manning starts Week 6 against Detroit at home if the Giants aren't at least 2-3 and showing signs of life offensively. This will give him the bye week to get ready as well as the home crowd for his first start.

That wouldn't surprise me, Rick. All indications are that Manning has looked very good so far and that only enhances the possibility he'll start earlier in the season. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Warner got hurt in Week 1 again and Manning took over then for good.

Having to open up at Philadelphia certainly isn't in Warner's favor.

I agree Rick. I think the Eagles plan to be much more aggressive defensively after a down year last year. And the Giants' offensive line is suspect so I'd expect to see plenty of blitzes. Whether Warner can hold up is going to be a big question.

Tom, the Buffalo running back situation, Travis Henry is already sounding more like a Dolphin running back than a Bills running back. Is he whining because he knows he's lost the job or because he knows he's less talented or both?

Neither.

I think Travis Henry is a very good RB who believes (probably rightly so) that people aren't appreciating how good he's been because everybody is so eager to see McGahee. The fact is Henry played his ass off for the Bills last season; he played hurt and he was the only guy on the offense worth a damn all year. I think Henry feels as if all of that is either being ignored or forgotten in the haste to see what McGahee can do.

I still think Henry is going to get the bulk of the carries this season. He may not still be in Buffalo next year, but there won't be any shortage of suitors for his services, that's for sure.
