Hey Tom, how did our beloved Packers look during that nationally televised scrimmage against the Bills on Friday? I was too busy taking the kids to the Scandinavia Corn Roast and spending $60 on fair rides to watch that game. Fill me in. I assume we kicked butt, right?!!! The most impressive thing about this scrimmage was the fact that the stands were filled with Cheeseheads. I do not think there is another NFL team that could pull this off....You guys/girls are die-hards , especially in the dead of summer! LOL

Tom, I agree with you to a point but these two WILL create distractions and without a Brett Favre type leader on that team (and you know what I'm talking if you watched any of the McNabb interview last week), they had better win early or this could be quite entertaining.

I guess we should take this to the "Non-Football" Forum. Religion and Politics barred from all other Forums

That's ok, JP. Been a while since I ruined a perfectly good thread. I promise to can the politics.

Tom
You've got R.Moss projected to get 105/1565 and 15 TD's.
That's pretty close to his 2003 stats - 111/1632 and 17 TD's.
How much upside do you think there is to these stats?
If projections are correct then shouldn't Moss be going somewhere between 1:5 - 1:7?

I think Moss is a legit first-round pick but as we all know RBs are going to dominate the early rounds so even though Moss will outperform a number of RBs he'll almost certainly be taken after many of them. I think our projections are the ceiling for Moss and that's how I'd view them. I don't think he'll top those numbers.

tom – do you think many people are jealous of my success in the NFFC last year?
Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?

I think everyone in the NFFC aspires to finish where you finished last year, Gordon.

LOL [/QUOTE]The great thing about that live scrimmage is the stands were filled with families. It was a cheap way for dads to show their kids what Lambeau Field looks like at the most perfect time of year in Wisconsin. My dad used to take me to one pre-season game a year in the 1960s and '70s in August and it hooked me for life. I remember walking up the ramp each year with my eyes closed and then opening them up just in time to see the field, crowd, everything at once. The weather was always just perfect and the beauty of Lambeau Field then was enough to hook us, even though they had bad teams for much of the 1970s.
Listen, Cheeseheads pay just to TOUR Lambeau Field. $8 to watch a scrimmage on Friday night was just added entertainment. Next year I definitely have to take my kids to that.
