This thread, the threads in the Primetime & Online locales on increasing playoff teams.

Being new to high stakes formats, I'm not sure yet what I feel is the best way to do that.

I'm involved in just about every contest out there and I'm still feeling my way on which format I like best.....

I do know this, it can't be good for any contest to have half the league feel it has no chance by mid-season.

I know the argument....high stakes, high risk.
While true, and maybe fair....still when investing big dollars, you'd like to at least feel like you have a chance for longer than a couple weeks.

Maybe I feel this way because I'm not as good at this as most of you....... ...

Glenn Your not as Good as your thought, and your better than what you could have been. :D

I still think I like it at 19 rounds, this coming from a person who is in 289th place. Why You ask, the draft should be a big part of who wins, not the guy who gets lucky on the ww. There's no players on the ww, draft better. Not that there's much on the ww in a 12 Team League.

What do You guys(Jules) :D think?

John LOL!!! Thanks for thinking of me John!

I love 19 rounds!!! Hope it stays...doubt it will.

I love 19 rounds.

I hate drafting a deep team and then having to cut loose a quality players because I don't have the roster spot to keep them. Then I get to watch as somebody else gets the benefit from the player that I thought might have some upside later in the year. PLEASE keep it at 19!

I wonder how this is going to turn out? In 3 years from now, You will Thank Us. :D
Glenn I was one of many who wanted it to be changed to 19. It was 18 rounds in 2008.

Read Waynes post, that's it in a nut shell.

I want it left at 19 for one reason and that is I am beyond tired of this event changing the rules yeaar in and year out. To listen to some that clamored for this rule last year who I have seen post elsewhere that they want it changed back is laughable.

Some of us actually like to study trends, watch how our fellow players strategywise and track what works for our own selves from one year to the next. The neverending changes make it like comparing apples to oranges.

For the record, I posted being agaainst changing the roster last year but it happened. Those that wanted got it so if it isn't working for you this year, too bad. The rule stays because this event needs to start having some consistency if we ever want to grow into a significant force in the FFL industry imo.
