if the top record team is not the top points team, then it can be disputed which team is really the best (and most deserving of the league prize). hence, the three week playoff.
I get your point GG, and it has merit, but if the top team leads in both categories after 13 wks he is still only best thru 3/4th of the season.

What if an NFL team goes undefeated and has the greatest point differential of any team? They still have to win the Super Bowl.

I think we need a playoff too.

Duke,

What are you trying to say? Are you saying that your pathetic teams would make a turn around if you only had the last quarter of the season to play. Tommy Maddox and Duce Staley are not going to get it done under any scenario that you cook up.

Sorry.

Maybe we should extend the season into the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl. Anyone for the Pro Bowl?

Sorry. You unfortunately sound like one of those people that want rules to be adjusted so your team would look better. I am not one of those people. I could care less how this rule change would affect my team this year.

I am commenting on structural change that I think will better the game because I plan to be here for quite awhile.

As for Duce, I think what the Pittsburgh running game has done this year proves my thesis right. So the trash talk on him, while easy, is silly.
As for Maddox, he was a bust because of injury.
Did you know that I was also one of the few (maybe the only) person to draft Roethlisberger?

KOQ, if u thought that was a funny post I suppose bathroom humor cracks you up too.

Hey skipman lumpy, which were worse picks?

Duce Staley in the late first rd and Tommy Maddox in the 11th ...

or

Quentin "the two-week wonder" Griffin in the 3rd and Ron "I ran for a 100 yards in preseason" Dayne in the 6th?

Definitely Staley and Maddox.

You cannot win with a First Round Bust, for his production Staley was a bust.
Maddox lost to an injury so we do not know.

Griifin had an injury, so we do not know, but he did help us get high score of the week.
Dayne was a bust, but much more tolerable as a 6th round pick.

The same could be said for your Duce Staley selection in the first round. Just a terrible, terrible pick.
Not really. I've explained my rationale before.

Bad picks are those that are not thought out, based on poor analysis or done in the heat of the moment. Not those that didn't work in hindsight. Sorry you're so simple-minded not to understand that.
