NFFC Satellite League Signup List

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Aug 02, 2005 9:41 am

Okay, we've added a Draft Champions League on Tuesday, August 16th, appropriately titled "The Billy Wasosky Memorial Draft Champions Satellite League." I know you're still alive Bill, but you've been the most persistent about this date and thus this one is for you. Let's get it on.

Did you make a descision on the rules for the $1,000.00 league, or is it still up in the air? Will there be a playoff/H2H, or strictly points based for 16 weeks?

Thanks!

~Lance It's a little of both, Lance, so hear me out on this. The top four teams in this league after the regular season advance to the playoffs to battle for the three money spots. The only thing h2h does in this format is guarantee you a spot in the playoffs. So the one h2h champion automatically advances to the playoffs. Then the next three highest scoring teams also advance to the playoffs and take their weekly scoring average with them. We'll add your scores in Weeks 14, 15 and 16 to your weekly scoring average and the team with the most points wins $8,000. 2nd most gets $3,000 and 3rd gets $1,000.

There is no h2h in the playoffs and total points dictates the winner. This is the format you are interested in, I believe.

Those 2 weeks really got booked up for me but the 16th looks like it will play. As BillyWaz was the only guy to want to a piece of me, I owe it to him to show up.

I further move that we play that league even if we are short of the usual 14. As this is a total points, no WW thing, it shouldn't really matter how many play (no h2h scheduling probs, no playoffs, etc.). Obviously if we are short we would have to eliminate prizes for 2nd and 3rd. Even a 10 team league gives us enough to play for a top prize of a 2006 DC entry with no other prizes and an 87% payout.

Billy, David, is that okay with you? Oh yes...Greg, is that okay with you? lol

Oh, one more thing. I think we need to have a firm cutoff that will allow posting of draft position no later that the morning of the day before the draft, e.g. 8/15 A.M. for this draft.

Okay, put me down as entry #3 for the 16th.

"Memorial" might be pretty close as when I told my wife I signed up for this she just looked at me and said "I guess I will see you in January!"

I appreciate it Greg and sorry for being such a "pain in the arse"! ;)

Please, add me to the Draft Champions on the 16th.

Thanks,

Just so everyone knows, we're currently drafting on Mock Draft Central.com and the site is VERY smooth. I'll let the other guys speak for it, but it's totally different from last year and very easy to use. No problems in our NFFC Mock Draft tonight. I feel VERY confident hosting our satellite leagues.

It's a great draft, but there sure is a lot of complaining....mostly coming from me in the eighth spot.

[/QUOTE]OK, Greg...sounds fair enough to me! Count me in...I'll be sending you the money within the week! Glad I can support your league too...without the back-to-back trips to Vegas...you are a class act, and deserve it! (Not to mention I'd like to cash out in this deal!)

Now...time to make sure I'm off early for the draft! I can smell a self-made holiday!

Okay, put me down as entry #3 for the 16th. We'll do the best to fill these up. Yeah, we can figure that out when we get there, but I have a feeling we'll get 14 for that. If not, we'll figure it out. All of these should be fun.
