I think we all wish we had live event numbers like we did in 2007 before the recession and before many owners had to draft Online to stay involved with the NFFC. It's also my fault for splitting up the two live event weekends in Las Vegas, but I think next year we'll all have a more specific and better plan for our multi-city events. I can see us hosting in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas on the opening weekend of the NFL season in 2012 and possibly doing something unique on Labor Day weekend in Las Vegas and Online. Stay tuned for that but the picture of the future is actually more clearer than the picture of today!!
That being said, we'll have four full Classic Leagues in Las Vegas and New York, two in Chicago and a combined league in Chicago. More details on Chicago 3 to come, but we'll make that work easily and get everyone as one. The Primetimes will also have four leagues in NY and LV and two in Chicago, with that second one almost completely full. Again, it's not perfect, but at the end of the day we already have 19 full Classic Leagues and we are on pace for 25 or so Primetime Leagues. That would be almost 600 Main Event teams, a record for the NFFC.
Not bad in down times. Not bad for an industry that just took a kick to the middle section by its own peers. Not bad after a 137-day lockout that ended in time to host drafts but not quickly enough for everyone to draft live.
Thanks all for the continued support. We still have a ways to go, but we're almost there. I can hardly wait for the drafts to begin and remember there are still plenty of second weekend drafts available and plenty of Online Championship leagues with openings. We have more than 624 Online Championship teams signed up and ready to go, so look for that grand prize to grow past our advertised $40,000 total. Someone is going to win a real nice prize for a $350 entry fee. Can't beat it. Thanks all and good luck today.
