Isn't it odd how most of the contestants can get by without calling Tom or Greg, and others can't? Odd???? Not at all. Talking with someone can help to iron out differences. In addition, it's a good way to "talk" football with friends. If u want to stay a hermit, SA, you can certainly do so.

Btw, thanks for the call this morning greg. Very productive talk.

As I said before, I'm working on something very good for the nffc, and I hope to give u call once I have everything ironed out.
[/QUOTE]Why would me talking to any of our participants about ANYTHING football related be odd?? I think everyone who knows me by now knows that I'm pretty approachable and I certainly don't shy away from controversy. I would talk to ANY of our NFFC members about this point or any other point and I answer my phone or Blackberry myself, no secretary needed!! :D Give me a holler anytime.

Besides, as GG and I noted, many rules changes or improvements to the game have come from the participants themselves. I listen to all of their suggestions and then through it into my brain for evaluation. What better way to get those ideas or feedback than via phone? E-mail is sooooooooooo impersonal.

Yes, good call GG and good luck with all your teams. And keep Dallas Clark in mind tonight as we need a good night from him in WCOFF to earn a much-needed win.

It's odd because he is just a contestant.
And he gets treated differently than the others.

He's teacher's pet, and it's sickeningly obvious.

It is not a fair contest because Gordon (a contestant) has duped you both and now he runs the show.

I look forward to next year when he won't be eligible since he is such a close friend of the owners.

(Gordon hasn't made a good call in a long long time by the way, but that's your boy.)

Can you get over your man-crush for him long enough to run a contest?
Or can't you?
It's a simple question.

It's a simple question. Yeah, I'm happily married with three kids, so there's no man-crush here with GG!! :D And Dennis you can call me anytime too. I'll talk to you as lovingly as I do to GG, KOQ, Quahogs, and even SNAKE. I'm friends will ALL my participants. :D

Let me add one more thing Dennis, I hang out with my contestants in Las Vegas as they are my friends and Tom does the same with all of the football nuts in New York too. We ENJOY this part of our job and we ENJOY making new friends. I consider Rick Thomas, Shawn Childs, Eddie Gillis, Rob Benetti, Mark Srebro, Perry Van Hook and many, many other NFFC members as my friends and I look forward to Draft Day as much as they do. None of them get any extra benefits from me just because I know them and break bread (okay, beer) with them.

But if you want me to be impersonal with my participants, I can be that. I just don't think this job would be as fun if I acted that way. ;)

Dennis,

You just crossed the line and I am stunned by the post above.

#1 - GG has no one duped.

#2 - Not a fair contest? This is a serious accusation.

#3 - Teachers pet - I love the fact that Greg and Tom are accessible to ALL of us. They favor no one and would take the time to talk about football, baseball or curling if you or anyone just called them.
My mama says she loves me but she could be jiving too! BB King

It's a simple question. This is hilarious. Looks like you are the one duped by GG.

SA that is just plain dumb what you said! Try going to the Fisher party and getting to know Greg and many others involved here and you will see that everyone is treated as equals. I don't think any other owner of any other high stakes league or even some local leagues would talk to me or anyone else about my family and life having never even met me, but Greg certainly did and made me feel welcome months before the draft even took place! Sometimes people really need to think before they talk(type) cause certain things you can't take back.
