Re: NFFC Early Season Draft Results
I never proclaimed the smartest guy thing that was somebody else's. To each his own I guess. I just prefer to have strong WR over strong RBs. Backup RBs are more likely to make an impact rather than backup WRs. Whats the difference if you have 2 RBs whose PPG are 18 and two WRs who have 18 PPG average? The WRs are more likely to play 16 games. Production is production.

I would definitely disagree with this statement. But instead of explaining why I'll let you figure it out lol. You should be getting in more of these DC drafts. Maybe you are and we have just been missing each other. But they are a lot of fun. The good thing is that they are moving fast. Less than 2:45 for 35 rounds.

Re: NFFC Early Season Draft Results
I can remember another Mess Board debate about taking WRs from the same team. Most guys wouldn't do it because one guy would always have a low week. It worked out pretty well for me taking Moss and Welker 1st and 3rd round. Im no sheep I tell you!!!

Re: NFFC Early Season Draft Results
Thr thing that surprises me with Ivory and his apparent appeal based on where he's being drafted is, he couldn't stay healthy in New Orleans carrying the ball 40-50 times a year. How the heck is he going to stay healthy in NY carrying the ball 250+ times? And as a kicker he doesn't do much in the passing game....assuming the Jets will even have one.
Don't mean to rag on your roster David, but after JStew, Forte, AP and Gore go down, you won't need Ivory anyways.

Re: NFFC Early Season Draft Results
I subjectively set the bar for round 4/5 WRs at 225 NFFC points and RBs at 200, as that's what I projected as the ballpark range for these positions drafted in these rounds. YMMV.mattjb wrote:What was the hit rate in rounds 4 & 5 - RBs v WRs ?
If you have time, Mike
Given that, it looks like the hit rate was 30% for WRs and 37.5% for RBs. This data, combined with the round 6+ data I posted yesterday provides further evidence of what a wildass crapshoot FF really is.

I also don't buy into the Ivory hype. Not only are there durability concerns but projecting his numbers with the Saints over an entire season with the Jets is like comparing apples to oranges. Until the Jets have any threat of a passing game, Ivory and any other Jets RB should see nothing but 8 man fronts all day long. I'd take Ivory as a RB3 but I think your teams will be in trouble if you're banking on much more than that.
