Who's Coming To The NFFC?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Jul 15, 2004 2:39 pm

We are honored to welcome John Piontek of Orlando, Florida to the National Fantasy Football Championship. John is our 30th member of the National Fantasy Baseball Championship to join us in the gridiron game and he will once again be drafting in Las Vegas, this time at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino. Thanks John for trusting in us a second time. It should also be noted that John was the the champion of last year's Fantasy Jungle.com Fantasy Football contest, so he comes with pedigree! Thanks for joining the growing NFFC family, John, and best of luck in the chase for the $200,000 grand prize.

Who's Coming To The NFFC?

Diesel, I hear ya, but I'm a pretty good judge of these things and I have a feeling when all is said and done Long Island will be well represented in the NFFC. Most calls I get these days have that New York (okay, Jersey) accent and several guys have told me they are from Long Island and have been playing for years. As we found out in baseball, New Yorkers seem to wait a little longer to sign up for this contest and the fact that many of them don't need to make travel plans ahead of time, that is understandable. They want to be proven that this event is going to succeed first. But in the end, I'm convinced the New York NFFC draft will finish with the most competitors and Long Island will be well represented.

We would love to centralize our advertising budget, but we need to advertise on a national scale and draw from those ads. Regionalizing the ads would be more expensive, but we plan on being on as many talk radio stations as possible. I just did WCCO in Minneapolis on Wednesday night for 20 minutes and it was good fun.

Our fourth signup of the day just came in as Carlos Perez of Ontario, California has joined the NFFC's main event at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. Carlos is new to our family of high stakes contests and we welcome him aboard. Not a bad day. Man, I can hardly wait until training camps open and people are REALLY into football. Anyway, welcome to our growing NFFC family Carlos and best of luck in the hunt for the $200,000 grand prize.

Okay, it pays to go out of town on a weekend as we had four more NFFC signups on Saturday while I was out relaxing and a signup for an Auction League today. We also received several more requests to sign up over the phone, but unfortunately I wasn't working this Sunday. I won't let that happen again!!! But I can feel the momentum...and the LOVE!!!

Let's start from the top and give everyone their just due. We're excited to have the tag team of William Hare and Drew Masse flying into Chicago to compete in the NFFC's main event at the Oakbrook Marriott. William is from Cumming, Georgia and he's making the special trip to compete in our event. William and Drew are new to our high stakes contests and we're glad to have them on board. Welcome to our growing...and I mean GROWING...NFFC family guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $200,000 grand prize.

Our next tag team is also making a lengthy trip to compete in the NFFC, but I think they are looking forward to the vacation. The tag team of Stan McLaren and Kenrol Paynter of Dorchester, Massachusetts will be competing in the NFFC's main event at the Flamingo in Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 4th. Stan and Kenrol are also new to our family of high stakes contests and we are excited to have them on board. Thanks for trusting in us guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $200,000 grand prize.

I'm glad we didn't lose this next NFFC member, who called me on Friday when I was golfing and I failed to get his return phone number correctly. Jim Pieper of Longmont, Colorado hung with us and got all of the answers he was seeking online and has decided to join us in Las Vegas for the NFFC's main event. Jim will be joined by co-manager Harlan Wagoner and both guys are new to our family of high stakes contests. Welcome aboard guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $200,000 grand prize.

Bill Wasosky of Richmond, Virginia is already signed up for the NFFC's main event in New York, but the smell of training camps in the air got Bill so excited he just had to double up with a spot in the Auction League. It's a good weekend to play two Bill and we're glad to have you in the Friday, Sept. 4th event, which will start at 6 p.m. at the New York Hilton. I've already wished you good luck on the $200,000, but I'll also wish you good luck in the hunt for the $4,000 league prize in the Auction League. Thanks again for trusting us twice.
