Who's Coming To The NFFC?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Jul 21, 2004 4:44 am

Rick Thomas of Franklin, West Virginia is typical of our other National Fantasy Baseball Championship competitors as he called today to reserve a spot in the NFFC. Rick said he's been so obsessed with his baseball team (which is in first place, I might add, although I don't want to jinx him) and just hasn't had time to think about football. But he became the 33rd member of the NFBC to sign up for the National Fantasy Football Championship, reserving a spot for the main event at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. Rick is flying solo once again at the draft table, so welcome aboard. Oh, and best of luck in the hunt for the $200,000 grand prize here and for the $100,000 grand prize in our baseball event.

Okay, I apologize for being out of touch this weekend but no e-mail access will do that to ya! Now back in working order, we'll get to the latest NFFC signups. This one is so close to home we could meet for lunch. The tag team of Bill Opiola and Gil Molski of Stevens Point, Wisconsin (25 miles down the road from Iola) has just signed up to compete in the NFFC's main event at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Saturday, Sept. 4th. David Zwickel has already signed up for our NFFC main event in New York and he is currently battling for the National Fantasy Baseball Championship title (he was third overall this week in the battle for the Weekly Prize), but he's realized that one football draft just isn't enough. Now David has signed up for the NFFC's Draft Masters League in New York and will battle for that $4,000 league prize. Welcome back David and thanks again for trusting in us. We'll see you at the New York Hilton for the DM League draft on Friday, Sept. 3rd at 1 p.m. and again on Saturday, Sept. 4th for the NFFC's 1 p.m. draft.
