Aug. 21st NFFC Satellite Auction League

Greg....One thing I'd like to suggest for the future:

Is it possible for the sites MDC and Fantasy auctioneer to set it up for owners to get into the draft room a little earlier? 1 hour before the draft would be great for 1st timers to become familiar before the draft. 30 minutes was OK last night but it seems like 20 minutes goes fast (MDC) especially if you're having trouble loading the draft room.

I only mention this as a help to those with only dial up available. Thank God I'm moving soon.

Although it was a grueling experience, I had a great time. The site worked very well for me. Most of the issues I had were due to my own lack of familiarity with the interface. At the beginning, I didn't have time to figure it out, but by the end I was doing alright. I would love to do another DC auction league next year. My only requests... a 3-5 minute break at some point and a more clearly defined manner with which to nominate unlisted players. I agree that Snake did well for himself; the $44 TE bid notwithstanding!

Hey guys, STATS needs to get these two questions answered. Can someone help us out?

1. if Jeff Clampitt should have Zack Hilton, then I need to know who to replace Hilton with on Welsh's team.

2. Who to replace Koenen on Welsh's team.

yeah everyone missed it.........Im asking the guy who runs fantasyauctioneer for a copy of the whole chat from tonight........

first thing that went wrong for me was im looking for jerious noorwood and didn't have enough time to find him......

Im on dial up so my 30 seconds is really 15 seconds.....

then I picked derrick blaylock and the computer gives me klineasser from min......i asked for the stop and for help and noone say anything unitll 10 picks later.....so i logged off....I only got to draft 50% of my team........so if i beat anyone im going to bust there ball forever....

Johnny JJ, you spent $199 on 17 players up to that point, leaving you with $9 for nine players. The site worked great all night long and there were few complaints until you got Kleinsasser and then opted to leave the draft room. What were we to do at that point? The computer made your next two picks and then you jumped back on to pick your last six guys. I stopped the draft several times to make sure you got the players you wanted at the end.

This is why we don't offer satellite auction leagues because it's easy to blame fantasyauctioneer.com even when most of this goes right. I would love to offer more satellite auction leagues next year, but this is a perfect example of why I probably won't. The fact that we did 26 rounds of a 14-team auction in just over 4 hours is amazing and I was VERY pleased.

Good luck to all. This is a great format in the Draft champions scoring format for an auction league. I trust the best owner will win.
Greg....No disrespect....You guys all did a great job with putting this league together and all the emails and all the help was great.....Greg even got my password for me with very little time to spare and made sure I was all set.......Thanks again....

The problems I had was I only got 30 secons to pick a guy....When i picked a guy to bid on it would lag and slow up and when his name went in the box i only had like 10 seconds or less.....

during the bidding part where there was more then one guy bidding It went fine never had a problem..

My only complaint was the klineasser pick....I asked for help and asked for a stop and by that time ten guys went by.....I should of had blaylock.....after that you are right my fault for getting off and missing three picks.....

Anyways it's water under the bridge.........I just take fantasy football serious.....I want to be the one to decide my own fate......

I know Tom and Greg are great with all of us and have to watch out for 500 plus people and they do, do a great job keeping everyone happy.....

Im just not going to be a little girl and not say anything....I speak my mind...I would be cheating myself if i said nothing.....

As for the web site....it was a great little site....it needs some work...but what doesn't...
I was almost going to buy a coach for a joke.....lol

Again......water under the bridge.

Don't worry i will be taking all my pain out on you guys in the snake classic......So bring your A games tonight........

Koenen to Weebles

Gostkowski should be on my team replacing Koenen

Gaffney from Weebles to my team replacing Andy Reid..yea, how many of you can say you actually drafted a head coach for ff??

And Hilton should be on my team, not sure where that came from  Unless it was another situation like Gostkowski's.....

Jeff, you didn't nominate or win Hilton did you??
Yes, I was under the impression that Hilton was on my team. Someone nominated him for $1 then I bid $2 and that's the only time I saw his name.
