Has anyone ever been drafted higher, based largely on circumstance, than Montee Ball? I honestly can't believe people are willing to make him their first round pick.

Not totally unwarranted, though. Peyton tends to help RBs immensely. Broncos' passing game should lend itself to potential running productivity. Ball also a high draft pick with a strong collegiate resume. Lot of factors working in his favor.

Joseph Addai in 2007 comes to mind! I wasn't doing high stakes leagues at the time but remember him going as high as #3 that year after LaDainian and Steven Jackson. Addai delivered an okay season with 15 TDs. I think 2014 Ball is a decent comparison.

I do.

He hardly had the most talented pair in front of him last season. he better have improved his pass blocking hugely...

I just think there are far better options at that point in the draft. I'd much rather take a punt on CJ Anderson later on.
