There's no way Smith should be allowed back on Rich's team, regardless of the reason. Sure mistakes happen, but we have to live with them, not have them corrected for us.
Patrick, I CHOSE to believe, until proven differently, that some sort of mistake occurred. And from Greg's post it appears that a mistake was made. Desert Fog dropped Chris Henry, not Steve Smith. Now, is there any way to prove that or the opposite? Maybe, maybe not. Again, my CHOICE to believe that someone in this situation not be duplicitous.
Should he or any team really have to live with putting Chris Henry in as your drop, yet having an error occur during the running of waivers, thus taking Steve Smith instead? No, I don't think so and unfortunately now this brings up another issue, can we trust the waiver process?
TCH brought it up, we should have a confirmation (e-mail) option. This was brought up last year too. I hope it is addressed sooner, rather than later.

He saw it say Chris Henry, but if you move the letters around you get Steve Smith.

All I know is if Dunn wins LV2, and god forbid the 100K something will HAVE TO be addresed in nexr year's rules.
I know what you're saying Bill and you're probably right because there will always be those looking for an excuse as to why they didn't win.
However....no advantage gained here...since this player was DRAFTED by this owner. some chiming in on this subject seem to be forgetting that.
BTW...we need to elect a president since we belong to a so called "chum chum" club.
Also....since there are more than a couple agreeing on the other side of this issue I suggest we also recognize that as a club.
We need a name for it though. Maybe "Prossers posse" or "The he man chum chum haters" club.
The table is open for discussion.

They are very rare, but they do happen.
This is truly a no brainer and Greg made the right decision.

Jodicus......I really hope you're more calm about this today. I agree with Jules...the NFFC is an extended family and we cut each other some slack "within the rules" when it's the right thing to do.
You should know this since you benefitted from the understanding of ALL the other owners in the Snake Classic when you couldn't get logged in for the draft. We could've let the computer pick a crappy team for you but we respected your investment.
We respected it enough to postpone the draft by 20+ minutes. We called 4 people before reaching someone (my brother) who agreed to stand in for you. Picking right behind me he drafted you a helluva team (2nd most points week 1).
Do you know how easy it would've been for us to manipulate that situation...c'mon...he is my brother.
Instead the little jerk steals 2 players from me in the 1st 5 rounds.
I mention this as a reminder to you and and anyone else with questions of right/wrong doing in the NFFC...that this event is filled with people of integrity. It starts at the top and trickles down through it's members.
I know you are one of those members...a good guy and fierce competitor. Please realize the legitimacy of this honest mistake and let it go.
I know we'd do the same for you. BTW...just so the whole MB community is aware of this fact: Rich Dunn was among those who chose to extend a friendly helping hand to Blue when this draft situation arose.
No one...and I mean NO ONE suggested throwing him under the bus.
I wonder why Blue never responded to this post the 1st time I sent it!
It's easier to ignore the truth than face it sometimes.

I certainly hope Steve Smith (CAR) is allowed back on Desert Fog. It certainly is a tough situation and a tough call for Greg. But I gotta believe it was a BIG mistake. Without Steve Smith on his roster, I would say Dunn is done. Hell of a way to end your fantasy season before it starts.
Also, I think it would take away from the legitamacy of LV2 to have his team crippled like that. I for one want to know I went against every team at full strength (to the best of their ability). This is really fishy! I'm not letting this one go either! If the NFFC lets this happen (Smith returned), I will consider the league a "Good O'Le Boys" Vegas Scam. My next 1300 dollars will go to a lawyer!!!!
We're ALL out to get ya Blue Foot ! Haven't you figured that out by now ?? Even your cat is in on it

Many thanks to those willing to stand against the "Chum, Chum, family". Here is my opinion of what has occurred. These are not competitors, they are a team! I played poker against them and they did the same thing. Wayne, it certainly sounds from the above post that you are accussing several memebers of LV2 of collusion. And to bring in the off-season WCOFF bi-weekly poker tourney is nuts. Who else in LV2, besides myself, did you play against in the tourneys? What happened at the poker table was nothing, yet YOU chose to make a mountain out of a mole hill. YOU even e-mailed all the players afterwards adn apologized for your behavior (obviously an empty apology). In fact, at the draft a few weeks back, YOU personally came up to me and apologized again about the poker thing (and again, obviuosly an empty apology). Honestly, I didn't think ANYTHING of the poker thing when it happen and was caught off guard by your attacks on the other players, I thought you were joking.
Calling the intergrity of ANYONE in LV2 into question over this is out and out wrong. Don't make it personal. Fine to have your take and JUDGEMENT on the incident, but leave the personal attacks on the sideline, it's no fun to have to come on the boards and see you've been accused of collusion.
-Cheerio & Chum Chum
Glad I'm in LV1, not LV2!!!
Having been in the WCOFF Poker thingy, I echo these thoughts by Jules. I thought he was joking also until he sent out that ridiculous "I'm quitting poker" e-mail.
