One thing we definitely need to talk about is how we are choosing the draft spots. In baseball, we did them randomly live during our Thursday Night party with a fine show girl picking signed baseballs out of a vase. The owners then went up to a white board and wrote down their names in the spot they wanted. Without 3RR, it was pretty standard with everyone except one taking the highest available spot. That likely won't happen in football, but we should still discuss this thoroughly.

In baseball, owners are now talking about using FAAB money to bid on draft spots. Again, with 3RR maybe we don't need that in the NFFC, but it's a worthy discussion at this price level. So let's discuss:

1. Should we do a random drawing for the NFFC Platinum League after Thursday's NFL game and do the draft selection live? This would be random selections and once an owner is picked he/she takes their preferred spot. This continues for 12 owners.

2. Or do we use FAAB money to bid for the No. 1 spot, then the No. 2 spot, etc., without making selections of players at that time? And if we do this, again we'd do it after the Thursday NFL opener.

It's tough to get everyone together that weekend, but the best bet would be sometime after the Thursday NFL game, maybe even that night. Let's have a discussion on that as well and determine when & where is the best spot for this part of the equation because it is VERY important to this contest.

It's your league, so let's finalize this part of it and move forward.

Again, we are talking with SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio about possibly airing this draft live. It was well received in baseball and this seems like a natural for football. We're on it and we feel good about it happening. Be ready for that everyone because we're ready to make you household names on the Fantasy Sports Channel.

We have a FULL HOUSE and then some for the debut NFFC Platinum League in on Sept. 6th at the Bellagio in Las Vegas my friends!!! :D We are SOLD OUT and have a waiting list or a start for a second Platinum League!!!

It's great to sell out this debut event well before the NFL Draft. We have a lot to go over when it comes to how we'll pick the draft slots, when we'll pick the draft slots and more, but the hard part is over with. We have the participants lined up.

We'll talk more soon, but here's a look at the current signup list and yes we'll keep adding to the waiting list if you are interested:

No way should KDS have to be set in this league before the Thursday game. I don't think any NFFC league that drafts after the game should have to be set before it. We saw last year the impact it has. Enough is enough. Prep gets thrown out the window anyway when a game is played. We should construct our plan after the game. Should just be done at the draft IMO.

Both Dave Hubbard and I would vote for choosing draft slots right before the draft that day.

Name is called out and that owner goes and sits where they want to draft from, so on and so on. Using faab money to bid on draft slots is fun, but that would be my 2nd choice
Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is.

Now that we have a full Platinum League we can definitely address this. No doubt we'll do KDS for this league AFTER the Thursday Night Game. We also need to address this for the Diamond League and the Ultimate Leagues that weekend. I have no problem discussing this for the private leagues. The Classic and Primetime Leagues are a different discussion, but yes we need to get a game plan for KDS and draft slot selection for the Platinum and do this right. We'd rather not use FAAB for this if possible and would definitely consider draft selections on the day of the Platinum draft. We'll get this discussion going soon for sure.

It could be great listening if we get this broadcast live on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and pick the draft spots just beforehand. Something to consider, but you folks laying down the entry money will decide that. Thanks for bringing this up and getting it going. We'll do it right.

My first vote would be to use free agent dollars to bid for draft slot!!!! Second vote would be to do KDS at the table right before draft starts!!

I sent out an email to all NFFC Platinum owners today and look forward to discussing KDS deadlines shortly. We'll find a consensus here and make it work for everyone. Should be fun and HISTORIC!!! :D
