# 1 fantasy tight end. Did anyone watch the first quarter of last night's game at Seattle? Wow. Like I said earier, you can see Rodgers looking for Finley more this year, especially when they split him out wide against some poor safety. There's no way these safeties are going to cover him out wide one-on-one. He could be something REALLY special this year if he stays healthy.

Heck, I've seen him not make it out of the SECOND round in a pay NFFC draft. Could be a fun guy to watch on Draft Day.

I wouldn't take him over Clark and Gates but I wouldn't scoff at someone who did. Finley has enormous potential this season. It's amazing how far he's come in a short time. He was absolutely lost and in way over his head as a rookie but now it's obvious he has All-Pro talent and potential. Helluva draft pick by Thompson and his decision to not trade for Tony Gonzalez (which I criticized at the time given how little the price tag was) is starting to look much better.

I have him in my top 5 TEs. Let him fall further at your own risk.

the risk is not if he will be a top 5 te but if you want to use a third round pick on him.

That of course will depend on what else is available when it gets to us in the 3rd. ;) If we don't have a QB yet, but the top 7 are gone, so we're staring at 2nd or 3rd tier WRs or RBs - a very uncertain and volatile group - vs. the last of the top-tier, more sure-thing, TEs... I can see a case for taking one there. Heck, we can always grab a WR or RB very similar in round 4; the same can't be said for TEs once the top tier is gone.

would love to draft finley but TE's are deep this year and I just can't take a tight end that early.
