Follow Me, I am in the same boat you are, I go on vacation (fishing trip to Canada) for the first time in like 3 years and of course that is the week that the satellites are happening!!!

Greg, any chance of having another week of these satellites?

Greg, any chance of having another week of these satellites? I was going to also provide satellite leagues the week of Aug. 15-19 and then changed my mind as I have a family emergency to take care of that week. But if I can feel comfortable tomorrow with STATS' software, yes I can add a day or two of live drafts during that week. I'm sure Tom can handle everything while I'm out of the office.

Let me revise the rules and schedule this week, get the online registration form completed and then we'll finalize everything. But yes, there's no reason why we can't offer a league or two the week before. I'll get it done.

Thanks for the recommendations.

[/QUOTE]That would probably work better for me also Greg. Any chance of a DraftChampions satellite league that week? Also, how about moving them back until 9:00EST?

Sorry so many questions but inquiring minds want to know, and the heat index is 115 here today, so I am staying indoors. :D

Yup, no problem on all of this. Let me just finalize everything with STATS tomorrow and I'll have a list of dates and times for the satellite leagues on Friday.

I guess you boys want Tom and I to work day and night for two weeks before we host the live drafts, huh? Thaaaaannnnnnkkkkssss! :D

Greg, after reading everyone's opinions, it seems to me that the if you're going scrictly by points to determine the winner in the $100 satellite, then we should just use the DraftChampions format, right?

Yes, we will offer a $100 league with a winner-take-all format for a free NFFC entry in 2006. To do that, we'll use a highest points format through 16 weeks. But obviously you will have to start your lineup each week, unlike we do in the Draft Champions League.

The other leagues I will likely go with four playoff teams and then use the NFFC scoring format for the playoffs. That's a great idea and I'll finalize that soon.

We're getting there. Just a bit busy right now.

Greg, you guys better do some test leagues inside Krause and accept only zero problems. Better to cancel then to use software that has errors, is hard to use, is slow, or has bad settings. I think 2 minutes is necessary to allow any think time at your turn. It's not a live draft where after 90 seconds you can just shout a name. On-line you have to find the name and go through whatever process is required. That takes time. Test, test, test.
JP, again, we'll test these thoroughly before we do the online leagues. But someone correct me if I'm wrong: Didn't we use STATS' online draft room for our three NFFC Mid-Season Leagues last year? I know the drafts went flawlessly and the teams were loaded right away, so I think some guys have already used this draft software. But again, we'll test it beforehand.

We will likely go with 90 seconds per pick. Sixty seconds isn't enough, but 90 should be fine. The positions will be pre-ranked, so finding sleepers even shouldn't be too tough.

I feel confident about this software, but will feel even better after testing it myself tomorrow in Chicago.

Greg

Why not do H2H with the best record winning 100 points to add to his yearly point total. High points still wins overall prize, H2H keeps it from getting boring - simple.
