FANTASYJUNGLE....laughing off into the sunset???

Post by Diesel » Mon Aug 24, 2009 12:46 pm

For newbies in the NFFC, my moniker "diesel" is my team name. It's only what people here call me. SNAKE told me he expected to meet a "white Vernon Davis" when he met me. So I'm 6'0, 255 lbs...Not solid "DIESEL", but believe me, when provoked, I can be like a diesel train comin' at ya...LMAO

But I can guarantee, the NY'er in me comes out when something like this happens. So if you guys need back up, I'm here. For 10%...lol

*For the record, I wrote an article about fantasyjungle.com last year on another website, because I thought their $50 drafts were PRICELESS. I will never endorse a company I don't fully know about again. So they don't owe me money, but if my article made 1 person join their site, I feel some blame. So maybe you can keep the 10%...Just let me know where to meet you... ;)

This was simply the appropriate forum for this topic. It's a legit topic that some people have more interest in than others.

It isn't like we are posting on the mock draft thread.

Wasn't intended to steal your thunder, boss.

I'll vote now, oh wait.....I already did! :D

I played Fantasy Jungle for 3 years and never won squat !

This past year my team kicked ass ! I won my league - finally. Owed $1500.

As more time goes by I DO get more and more upset. It feels like I was ripped off for 3 years - not one. Anyway. If I can be of any help as someone that is owed $ I am willing to help. I feel like those guys better have lost everything ! (cars, home - everything) to not pay off the contest.

Exactly my feelings Todd. Bad part is I gotta feeling these guys are not eating mac and cheese and driving jalopies.

I even mentioned to Mike that he and Scott should be taking on 2nd jobs to payback the winners (at least SOMETHING!)

not sure if this is the same cat. If anyone knows how to get a hold of Jared, let me or Ryan know. I think he was posting on the FootballGuys.com message boards for a bit. We'll also call the lawyer tomorrow and see if he can help us reach out to him.

Trust me, we want to get Jared back in the game this year and we'll gladly use our own money to do it. I talked to him briefly this offseason and he was very despondent over this. I think he already wrote that he took his family to DisneyWorld to celebrate the newfound riches and then of course came back to pay the bills, without any prize money coming. We'll get him BACK IN THE GAME if we can hook up with him because what happened to him shouldn't happen to anyone in this fine industry.

I'll let you know how it goes as I'm sure Ryan is already on the phone with the lawyer. Thanks all and let's make sure this doesn't happen again.

I read the story today and felt bad for Jared.

I'll never be able to cover all the money that was stolen from those of you who played in FantasyJungle -- but I'll personally pay the entry into the NFFC Classic for Jared and let him play in a "REAL" contest where we will definitely pay our prize money.

I'm doing this because he filed the law suit and everyone knows -- at CDM -- we believe in standing up for what is right. See MLB / CDM lawsuit that was fought prior to my arrival at Fanball.

I tried calling the attorney and numbers listed under his name. I will try again tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the help.
