NY vs Chicago Grudge Match Update

B.Waz and Snake, it's so apparent that you two will not be having Christmas dinner together anytime soon, so maybe it's best to just not talk of each other anymore. As much as you've both said how different you are from one another, you've got one thing in common. You're both diehard fantasy football fans. I mean it's January 31st, and you're both still on the Fantasy Football boards. If you guys agree to just not talk about each other for the month of February, I believe you may actually start reading each other's posts with interest instead of disgust. Let sleeping dogs lye guys.

The answer is: doubt it, unless Rudi falls to you!
[/QUOTE]I truly believe Rudi wil still be there at 9, if not a little further than that, solely due to his lack of receiving skills. If Rudi stepped that part of his game up, he would then be a top 6 RB...Right now, Rudi is the best #2 tier RB in the game.

Looking at the immense possibility of changes throughout the NFL from this season to next, I see a huge change in draft position of many many NFL players.

These are just a few of the players that have question marks on what their value will be...

Carson Palmer
Drew Brees
Javon Walker
T.O.
Ahman Green
D. McCallister
Marc Bulger
Ricky Williams
Curtis Martin
Joe Horn
Dante Culpepper

I can go on and on...

He obviously has no say in the league, it's rules, etc. so there really is no reason for him to be involved with this thread other than to harrass me.

If he simply goes away, the problem is solved.

Diesel

That is a good list and certainly the type of players that could make you look like a fool or a genius. Snake raises an interesting point that I agree with. I also believe FF owners will make the mistake of out-thinking some of these scenerios.

My advise to anyone would be to keep you focus on the players. Good players make bad coaches look good not the other way around.

I don't hide the fact that I think LJ is the hands down #1 RB next season. Only the loss of 2 or more offensive linemen would change my mind on that. Vermeil/Edwards - who cares, they're not blocking, running etc...

Most owners will go SA/LT/LJ next season assuming all relevant players and supporting casts are back and under contract. SA had 370.3 pts. in a record setting year. My prediction for 2006 is LJ will easily pass 400 pts. and beat out his nearest competitor by 50 pts. or more.

In the last 11 games after Holmes went down he scored 304.4 pts. That's 27.6 pts. per game. Wow! In the same time frame SA compiled great #'s as well. 258.8 or 23.52 per game.

SA did most of his damage against the cupcake defenses of Ariz, St.L, SF twice, Tenn and Indy's 2nd team defense.

LJ played SD twice, Buffalo, Denver, NE, NYG, in the same time frame. With the exception of 2 road games @Miami - 18.4 and @SD - 9.8, nobody held LJ to less than 20 pts.

Picks 1-3 will have a nice start to their draft next season. I hope I get one of them!

Just some quick math for fun:
27.6 points multiplied by 16 games = 441.6

I agree with Snake that he still gets Zona, SF, and Stl TWICE, and honestly behind that line, SA can do it against virtually ANY team!

That being said, the rumor is that Alexander could end up in Arizona. I personally don't believe it, but can you imagine???

Alexander's stock obviously would go down, but he would bring down Fitzgerald and Boldin's value too, because they wouldn't be passing EVERY play! ;)

I took him in the only league I had the #1 pick in this year as well as the auction and I'd take him again next season if he stays put.

I was only trying to make a comparison to show how much LJ completely dominated the last 11 weeks at his position.

You're right about defenses changing from year to year. I used to put more stock in strength of schedule than I do now, but free agency has changed alot of things.

That being said, you can't go wrong IMO with one of the top 3, but again - my money is on LJ.
