For the main events it cannot be only about the "fairest way.' If MLB were run the "fairest way" there would be two leagues (American and National) and after 162 games and as balanced a schedule as possible, the winner of each league/pennent would play the other for the World Series title. That would be "fairest' as the team who was best after the 162 test deserves it. Unfortunately, in todays day and age, that would bore the masses and hurt the MLB product.
The people who recognize that H2H is a compelling component to the fantasy football experience are not necessarily in that camp because they "prefer more luck" as much as they realize to have a well supported high stakes contest you need a format that appeals to the masses. Maybe someday the masses will start to prefer an all play or beat half the league each week format. Until that happens, H2H needs to stay.

Amen to that Glenn. Usually this thread starts once a person sees their team blows chunks and they are bored. Oh well, let's get ready to enjoy the games.
