I'm just driving down for the day, but breakfast is definately a possibility. I don't think Mike is doing the contest, but haven't heard for sure.

Wine is in, and look at the facts: 14-team leagues, KDS, 3RR. This is high-end fantasy football, nothing wrong with a Cali Cab to go with it; this is sitting at the owners table not the rookie lineman's table. Think about that while you're downing a six-pack of Blue Ribbon this weekend while drafting against 9 high school buddies in a smelly Holiday Inn room you rented for six hours. Cali Cab, isn't that the mass transit system out there?

It's funny you mention PBR. About a year ago they moved their corporate headquarters to my town (Woodridge, IL). They had a grand opening a few months ago and their offices are unbelievable. They no longer do any of the brewing, they are now a marketing organization.

Beside PBR it was like a look back in time at the brands they now own. Olympia, Old Style, Special Export, Lone Star, etc. They have a nostalgia room with signs from bars, all the old cans and bottles, and all of that kind of stuff. They went around and actually bought as much stuff as they could.

But the best part of the company, and the reason I'd like to get a job there, is the employee break room. It's more of a bar, really, with taps, coolers, and tables. Every Thursday around 5 all the employees are invited into the room and they serve food and all of the beer they want.

That's where they held their party for us. Not really ready for a PBR, I asked what else they had. They gave me a beer called McSorley's. Very nice. I took home a 6-pack and an open invitation to stop back any Thursday that I would like. Oh, and my friends were welcome, too.
Great after-work hangout! In my softball league, we decided all teams had to have a color affiliation, so we went with "Blue Ribbons", then proceeded to go online and find a t-shirt company with the vintage PBR logo with sky blue sleeves for our team uniform. Other teams are jealous. They're all getting faded though, maybe you can hook us up with some new T's or caps next time you hang out with the marketing team - we're doin' our part to keep their good name alive with free ads right near the beach in San Diego ! :D

Another team went in our lge went with hot pink t-shirts (a coed lge) and named themselves "the porn stars". It's a fun lge.

good stuff 4D!! See you in Chicago. Shep, when are you getting in? I haven't talked to your Mike yet, but I thought we could meet for breakfast before the draft. We can ask Bald and perhaps Leroy as well, as I hear he may be in after he spoke with Greg.
I'll be around. Let me know.

4D!!!!! After a very trying day it was great to come home and read this thread! When I can be dragged away from watching the games at home on Sunday, it is to down some brews with my boys at the sports bar (this is rare because I am so neurotic on Sundays that it is best not to leave the house). Personal fave is Shiner Bock. Old time fave is PBR!!!! I can't believe you got to go to their headquarters! If I'm ever in the area, you have to hook me up!!! I love all the old signs and bottles and glasses (I collect "short" beer glasses).

So, I do love beer! BUT I love WINE too!!!!!! Why can't we all just get along?????????????????

VIVA LA VINO!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna throw down right now. Let's see what some of you are really made of and kick this into another gear. I won't be at the NFFC this year, but I will be at the NFBC (LV) and I'll be accompanied by a big 'ol mason jar full of white lightning (straight outta the great state of Tennessee!). Who's gonna man up and have a little shine with me?

Guess who'd be game? Just gimme something to chase it with!

"Well in North Carolina, way back in the hills
There lived my old pappy and he had him a still
He brewed white lightning till the sun went down
Then he filled him a jug and he passed it around
Mighty, mighty pleasing, pappy's corn squeezings
Ooh white lightning

Chorus
Well the "G" men, the "T" man, revenuers too
Searching for the place where he made his brew
They were looking, trying to book him
But my pappy kept on cooking
Ooh white lightning

One day I asked my pappy why he called his brew
White lightning instead of mountain dew
I took a little sip and right away I knew
When my eyes bugged out and my face turned blue
Lightning started flashing, thunder started crashing
Ooh, my goodness, white lightning

[chorus]

Well a city slicker came and he said I'm tough
I think I'd like to try that powerful stuff
He took a little slug and he drank it on down
You could hear him a moaning as he hit the ground
Mighty, mighty pleasing, pappy's corn squeezings
Ooh white lightning"

[chorus]

And KJ, I'm sending your request for stuff to the marketing dude at PBR. Sorry, I'm keping my cap.

Has anyone ever tried Cisco? You guys are talking about old cheap drinks. Cisco is a small bottle that says, "this bottle serves four people"...

The first time my friends and I drak it, we each drank a bottle. An hour later, we all thought we were going to die from alcohol poisoning, we were so drunk...LMAO

And there's always Brass Monkey.
