I agree here and we were hoping to land Jennings in the 2nd. Marshal is the key to the draft IMO for team #9. It was tough drafting between him and teams 6&7 as they both went WR with their 1st 4 picks!!!

It made for a messy mix in the top 10 rounds as we were zagging while those teams were zigging.

R1 P10 RB Steven Jackson, STL (9)
R2 P5 WR Roddy White, ATL (4)
R3 P5 TE Jason Witten, DAL (6)
R4 P10 QB Tony Romo, DAL (6)
R5 P5 WR Jerricho Cotchery, NYJ (9)
R6 P10 WR Laveranues Coles, CIN (8)
R7 P5 RB Ahmad Bradshaw, NYG (10)
R8 P10 RB James Davis, CLE (9)
R9 P5 WR Patrick Crayton, DAL (6)
R10 P10 QB Brett Favre, MIN (9)
R11 P5 DEF New York Giants, NYG (10)
R12 P10 RB Edgerrin James, SEA (7)
R13 P5 WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, OAK (9)
R14 P10 TE Heath Miller, PIT (8)
R15 P5 RB Shonn Greene, NYJ (9)
R16 P10 DEF New England Patriots, NE (8)
R17 P5 RB Danny Ware, NYG (10)
R18 P10 K Nick Folk, DAL (6)
R19 P5 WR Michael Clayton, TB (8)

I was okay with it. Those WRs going off the board early really changed my strategy, but not too much. Got a few that I'd been targeting....

Pete Steven Jackson at 2.5 - AMAZING

FIX!
We had a brief discussion about taking Jackson in the first. We were shocked!
...honestly now, HOW does that happen?...GK
Your talking about the NY League, right? I was next to that draft and I can't believe that guys would pass on S-Jax after pick 10. Especially if the big 4 WR are gone by then. I'm very high on S-Jax this year with Spags and Shurmer running the offense. Teams that got him after pick 10 could have the steal of the draft on their hands?

Looking at some of the drafts, I was surprised by how high J.Davis was going. The hype is surpassing his value. He went from anywhere in RD 4 to RD 8. Hey don't get me wrong I believe J.Lewis is toast, but he got picked b4 some pretty good RB'S.
Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is.

This was my first NFFC doubleheader & I'll tell you, it went nothing like I expected. Wide receivers went much faster than I anticipated & much faster than in the slow drafts & satellites.

Overall I'm somewhat happy with my Classic draft but somewhat disappointed with my Primetime draft....6 times in the 1st 11 picks, I had players taken the pick right before I was about to grab them.....constantly threw me for a loop.

My teams....

gerard sambola Gerard, I'm not a big fan of going early on both TE & QB. I feel like it puts you behind too much at the other skill positions. With that said, I think you are in trouble here at the RB position. I guess I say that thinking your Rd. 1 pick was Calvin Johnson. If it what Chris Johnson, then I feel like you're way behind at the WR.

Either way, just not a strategy I prefer.

Good luck this year!

Ocho Cinco in round one is a suprise probably only team trying that.I saw Romo in the 8th round in one league, unreal value.I passed on S Jackson in round two for Slaton, hope i dont regret that one.

d & g, I kind of agree with these dudes on not taking a QB and TE too early... But this year I took Witten in round 3, and Romo in round 4. Not a Cowboy fan at all, but this year with TO going elsewhere, I don't see Williams stepping up, on the other hand, Witten and Romo do already have chemistry. I saw value in taking a TE in that case. I took Romo that high because the next few QBs left were McNabb ,Schaub, Warner, Ryan, and Cutler were the next tier available. I liked Schaub, but as a Texans season ticket holder, I know to expect several games without him. I actually think though that Schaub will be top 3 QB if he stays healthy, maybe even top QB. But taking Schaub for me meant that I would have to have gone for another QB soon just in case he missed several games. I just wasn't willing to take risk. Also liked Ryan, but I think Romo might just have better numbers, didn't like Warner, or Cutler at all. No comment on McNabb.

That being said, why did you take your QB and TE as high as you did? Not that it's a bad strategy, just owner preference, I did it. Good luck.
