Not that I'm trying to do something different for one city than the others, but our hotel contract at the Flamingo is different from Chicago or New York. This year we have x amount of dollars we need to spend on food and beverage and our minimum means we need to spend it. So that unique contract allows us to host the Friday night party.

Don't worry all, next year Ryan will have a title sponsor that will allow us to do this in EVERY CITY!! :D

3rd Annual Poker Night results..

We had 18 players play with 4 spots being paid out.

Congrats to John Foucek on his win.

2nd - Daren Eliason (Foucek was ahead in chips and offered to chop for $1260 each!!)

Class act by John...

This will be know as the night of the "f___n' four!!" see below..

3rd - Bobby Journey for $720
4th - Bill Ezzell for $360

Your truly finished 5th when he pushed a SS 3900 chips on button with AJ suited and Bill called with 77 and it held up..

With EIGHT players remaining, the blinds at 400/800 and Foucek in the BB and only 700 behind, I called with KJ, John pushed all in blind and I called. John turned over K4 off suit and hit a 4 on the river to double up and take me out of the group in top four.

A while later, Daren was able to get John all in again after the flop and had him covered. Daren hit top pair I believe and all John held was a pair of fours and again, he hit the two-outer four on the river to give him a huge chip lead he never relinquished.

Thanks to Greg and all for a great set up. Food was great and beers were free for all that played poker or chatted fantasy football.

Hopefully this doesn't start a poker "skills vs. luck" debate.
