I like Jules have embarrassingly made errors with bye week players often due to simply losing track with too many teams. That being said, why should my opponent be penalized for my stupidity/carelessness and potentially lose the W?
If you see a dead team, you can do as one person did too me which cost me an easy W by contacting the dead team and awakening them for the game against me. Sure it was self serving on their part, sure I felt it wrong to contact them but Greg upheld it although to this day I still wonder if the dead team said here's my log in, go change it how ya want but that is a whole other issue. Since the NFFC has stood by it in the past, send the owner a PM, reach out on the boards etc if it bothers you so much to see bye players starting. Maybe there is a good reason why and it's not that the team has quit which so many folks automatically assume.
Finally, the other problem with having a puter or Greg potentially plug players in for a perceived sleeping at the switch team is they might open themselves up to issues if towards the end of the year a team in command point wise uses the strategy of throwing a game in an effort to face a weaker team in the playoffs and thus intentionally starts bye week player(s).
Just some thoughts...

Like you don't prioritize your leagues.
You START with your Main Event League (or higher stakes leagues)...and you END with your Main Event League.
Logic would put the satellite leagues and low stakes league on the back burner...not the ME.

GREG if you are out there we need a ruling here on benching Reggie Wayne.............. Just for clarification: At no point will the NFFC intercede and set starting lineups. That is up to each owner to take care of. It would be a legal nightmare if we ever did that.
The league format is set up where we reward total points and h2h records and everyone has a chance to win their league and the $5,000 by scoring the most points. Score the most points during the regular season and in your league championship round and everything will work out fine. Good luck all as I understand your frustration, but as John said, we don't know each owner's personal situation and it's possible something came up that forced certain owners to miss out on lineup changes this week. [/QUOTE]Although I agree with you...you may want to talk with the WCOFF lawyers and rule phrasing if indeed you feel this rule change would benefit your customers.
I like when dead teams play me.

But how about this concept. And I only bring this up because crap happens, puople get ILL. What if there were a program wher it aoutomatically filled your Roster with the Highest Average Players on your team ? Maybe it only allows 3 of these a season for Personal Problems, or you could have it do it all the time, YOU NEVER KNOW, Someone on GUARD DUTY , GFB, could get shipped out. What do U guys think ? Same management skills in ALL PLAY...it's not a Draft Champions concept where the computer sets your line-up, you set your line-up and live with your good and bad calls, you just get to play every team each week and accumulate your Win-Loss record that way. I like it a bunch and for the first time am playing in the Fantasy Jungle, which has ALL PLAY...it evens the playing field IMO, no "luck" of the draw about your weekly opponent...I mean it bugs to be the 2nd high score in your league in H2H and draw the high scorer as your opponent...draw anyone else and it is a Win...
