so if its 4 leagues instead of 7..whats the prize breakout going to be?

also....are all 4 leagues going to be at noon on friday? i am checking out the possibility of joining this on friday...depending on time and funds.

Andy, we would make a minor adjustment to the prize payouts if we come in with four leagues instead of seven. The DC in New York will be at Noon ET. If you want to jump in we have spots there. Sign up and grab one.

Time To Finalize Draft Champions Leagues

We will have four DC leagues by Tuesday at the latest. I feel good about this finally. I'm making some calls and will get a few more autographed mini-helmets if need be to get these final spots filled. I think we can do it.

Like the Auction Championship, we now must cancel the original DC Championship and get everyone to agree to a new, smaller DC Championship. Our original plan was to pay out 75% overall with seven leagues. We will now pay out 82% and keep all of the league prizes the same, $6,300 in league prizes just like before. NOTHING has changed there. Now you have to beat only 55 teams for the grand prize, not 77.

But everyone will have to agree to the new prize pool for the overall. Again, the entire payout has been increased to 82 percent and the grand prize has fallen from just $10,000 to $8,000, but we need everyone to agree to it. I'll send an email out on Monday but the new overall prizes will be:

Overall Prizes:
1st = $8,000
2nd = $2,500
3rd = $1,500
4th = $1,000
5th = $800

Now let me get these last spots filled and then we'll have GAME ON!! :D

Okay, I think we have all of this current. If so, then we have 51 owners for the morning DCs across the board. I'm working on two more owners in Las Vegas who I think will do it and I think Dyv will jump in with us in Chicago. There might be one more in Chicago to help us get real close there. That would leave us with one more opening to get to 56. Who wants to be the savior and fill this up for us?

The goal is to finalize all of this on Monday, set KDS for that day and announce draft spots on Tuesday. I know that doesn't give you a lot of time to prepare for your draft spots, but everyone in these leagues are such veterans that I think we'll be fine. And then of course we need everyone to agree to the new prize structure. This isn't ideal, but we're trying to build a Draft Champions national championship and I think we all have to make sacrifices to get this off the ground and established for years to come. This is where we are starting and next year hopefully we can get to 5 leagues and then 6 and keep growing every year after that.

Who's with me on this? Here's the tentative lineup card. When we get to 56 we'll mix and match, but I can see an LV with a couple of phoners, Chicago with a couple of phoners and then NY with a couple of phoners. We'll pay the expense for that and make this work. Sound good?

Brian Zeid wanted to do the $1300 DC as a private league, but will jump into the revamped DC Championship. He's good with the new prize payout of 82 percent as well. So we're another step closer to filling this up by Monday. I knew we'd do it once we got the focus lasered here!! :D I'm on it folks, so this is a go. Now it's just a matter of patching everyone together, but we'll get it done. Stay tuned.

Thanks Brian. You're the best....or among the best. :D
