The Phone/Online league was set up this year because we knew some folks would have trouble attending the live events because of Labor Day weekend and the tough economy. We did two of these last year in the NFFC and ran two leagues in baseball as well, so we know this format will work perfectly.

The plan is to have all of the competitors who sign up in these in separate Phone/Online leagues. All participants will receive a teleconference 800-number where they can call in and hear every single pick and hear comments from the moderator and other participants. All picks will be official with voice picks. We'll also set up each league on MockDraftCentral.com so that every participant in that league also has a visual of the draft and can scan each teams' past picks and rosters. The MDC visual will be disabled and only the MDC.com representative will actually make the picks. Owners will have 60 seconds after the pick is posted by the MDC.com representative.

These Phone/Online leagues will likely move a little faster than the live drafts because it takes less time to "post" the picks online than it does with the stickers. So be prepared and be ready. But all in all, these should work perfectly as everyone will be in the same situation in these leagues.

We are looking at multiple East Coast venues for 2010 and have a great surprise possibility now. The contract proposal is perfect for us and perfect for our players and it wouldn't replace New York but would add to our East Coast choices. Stay tuned.

We are meeting on that this week in St. Louis and will begin planning baseball 2010 locations this week and that will obviously have a say in where we go for football in 2010. AC is an option, but we may have an even BETTER option than that for gamblers.

Not sure if you guys are thinking Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods...But some casinos only have slots. I wouldn't take the time to go to one of those casinos...Hopefully you've got an ace up your sleeve....I mean how long can you really play slots? I needs me some roulette and craps and maybe a little Holdem...I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

My only suggestion is to not have the MDC guys running each draft sit next/near to each other. You could hear louder than a live event the players being taken in the other leagues. Which sucks when someone is reminded of your 11th rounder sleeper....

Kill Tom. He picked the photos. And always get them in ASAP. Those who provide photos first get in the first issue. It's as easy as that. Now if you were to win one of those BIG checks, we'd GUARANTEE a spot in the magazine, maybe even on the cover.

We have a chance to have 4-5 Phone/Online leagues, so we need to make sure their guys are spread out. Thanks for this.
