It would be nice if we all could see the Championship Round LIVE. This should be fix #1 leading into next year.

Note: If there was a link and I didn't see it, never mind.

Obviously, it all hinges on LT.

The Chargers do have something to play for. By remaining the 3rd seed in the AFC, they wouldn't have to face the Patriots until deeper into the playoffs.

At the same time, any tweak/ding/boo-boo suffered by LT tonight could easily mean the end of his evening.

LT has certainly come through in the playoffs so far in 2007, but historically he's had his struggles this time of year. While a boom game for him is much more likely than a bust game IMHO, the possibility for the latter most definitely exists. He averages 22 points per game, but 7 of his 15 games were ~17 points or less, including 2 games where he scored less than 10 points.

Now let's look at the two main challengers to GG2. (I now officially lay claim to coining Go Gettas new nickname. Since we already have a GG---you know who---then this is GG2. Just like Lawrence Taylor was the original LT, then LaDanian Tomlinson became LT2 although people are now largely dropping the "2").

Silver Knuckle trails by 12.29 points, but has Brandon Marshall going tonight who averages 16.9 points per game. He's capable of a big game---he posted 34.5 points in Week 14. A repeat performance could really put pressure on GG2.

Ambiguously Gay Duo trails by 13.61 points, but has both Nate Kaeding (Avg. = 7.6 points per game, but posted 16.5 points just last week) and Tony Scheffler (Avg. = 9.9 points per game, but posted 23 points just last week) going tonight. The potential for a combined 30+ points performance tonight is not out of the question.

So again, if LT can put up 30 points then GG2 looks really good. If LT puts up 20 points, GG2 could still lose with some (bad) luck. If LT falters or goes out early with less than 15 points (say, 70 combined yards plus 3 receptions plus 1 TD), then GG2 is definitely vulnerable.

Personally, I'd love to see a Non-Brady Owner win the 100k because Tommy-boy has been a pain is my ass all year. Plus Chicago rules. Plus both GG2 Owners are stand-up guys (Never met the SK Owners or AGD Owners, but I'm sure they're fine fellas also.)

thanks for the analysis shrink. tonight really hinges on LT. I don't see marshall and scheffler going off. San Diegos defense is not the same as the Texans.

we had a good time with u in the same league last year in AFFL. we barely edged u out there and got a chance to go up against u in the championship round this year. we should definitely get together next year in chicago at the draft.

Absolutely, but you can leave out the "tibia sticking out through the skin" part next year. ;)

He hasn't been all that good this year point wise, but apparently Kaeding could come up as a huge guy tonight in the race for 100K. Best of luck to those involved!

HH is right and with the Chargers rolling, this could be quite the finish for Go and the Duo.
