Who wins 1st place?

Who would have thought that the National Championship is a competition where you need to beat your opponents. Why isn't this stated in the rules????? (Wait, I think it is) it's a good thing we have GG here to point this out, did anyone else know this was a competition??? Who would have thought you actually need to beat an opponent to actually advance in this competition???
This competition kind of sounds like it was based off of some sort of sport where you need to beat an opponent to win. Now what sport does that sound like?? It sounds like any team sport!!!! we do have teams in this event right? Yes we do.
It is too bad Greg never took into consideration that some teams may have a hard luck schedule. Maybe Greg could of had some sort of... well, I guess ways to reward teams base on performance. Shame on you Greg... Though these may seem far fetched, I have some ideas that you may want to consider in the future...
Using total points to break a W/L tie
Using total points to reward 2nd, and maybe 3rd place money
Guarantee that maybe the top % of scoring advances to the finals (I would suggest like 10%, it sounds like a reasonable number)
Use total points in the playoffs to crown the National champ
I know many of these would get resistance to implement, but I feel it would give hard luck owners some merit in this event even though they were unable to beat their opponents. bozo award

i wasn't planning on the gekko league this year, and decided to do it at the last minute. next year, the gekko league will be all-play or some variant...as long as STATS can run it that way.

That is the best you have???? I'm a little disappointed.....
UFS - Yes, there are 2 contests here, but many people don't realize it. Some are too singular in thought to see the overall picture. I do like a playoff series too, but I can see resistance because people will argue that luck will play too much of a factor for an extended playoff period.

All play takes out many strategies I know you love to use.

That's why I didn't think it would be popular.
Way more times than not, the #1 team in a league is a good team that simply didn't have as many injuries as the teams RIGHT below them, which are many times, only a few points per week behind them. So give me a break on the #1 team being so much better
Give the better team a HFA equal to the weekly scoring difference. 125.0 vs 100.0 = 25.0 HFA.
If the 100.0 team wins 3 playoff games, then it was the better team. Oh wait, that would be too much like the NFL. Fantasy Football should never try to be like the real thing.
I think that owner tanking at the end is a huge problem in these events. Maybe #1 or #2 in my book.
And finding ways to keep everyone playing 100% as long as possible needs to be looked at.

also where did you get that number (at least 50%). is it factual or just inside your head?
thanks.

Observations from my leagues. So I guess it owuld be 20-30% of all teams. Need to get it much lower than that.
You aren't one of them. LOL.
