Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Aug 17, 2007 7:41 am

We're glad to welcome another new member to the growing NFFC family as the tag team of Joe Clemente and Carl Santlmo of Port Washington, New York have become our 100th signup for the main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Joe and Carl have competed in another smaller high-stakes event on the East Coast the past few years and were looking for a bigger event to compete in. We welcome them with open arms and wish them best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Joe Fitzpatrick of Sterling Heights, Michigan has been Don Thompson's co-manager the past three years in the NFFC and we're glad to report that Joe is returning for a fourth season of competition. But with Don heading to New York to draft this year, Joe is going to stay in Chicago and grab a main event team with his mom, Deborah Fitzpatrick, this year. Joe and Deborah have become our 67th main event team in Chicago at the Oakbrook Marriott as we're close to filling up our fifth league there and 23rd overall. Welcome aboard Joe and Deborah and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're moving closer to a third full league in Tampa for the main event as we welcome yet another new member to the growing NFFC family. Let's give it up for the arrival of Rick Puntueri of Tampa, Florida as he will be joining us at the Tampa Convention Center on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Rick is a good friend of Brian Swaw from ESPN Radio 1000 in Chicago and he's excited to compete in the NFFC in 2007. We now have five open spots in Tampa before we close out that city for the main event. Welcome aboard Rick and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We now officially have 70 teams and five full leagues in the Chicago main event, leaving us just one spot short of last year's total of 322 teams and 23 full leagues!! Awesome. Our latest signup is NFFC veteran Nolan Langford of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, who just signed up for the main event at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Nolan led the BadBoys to a 5-8 record in Chicago League 3 last year, placing 236th overall with 1,477.5 points. Nolan will be drafting with his son Christian this year and we wish them best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Okay, let's keep the introductions going this morning and welcome another new member to the growing NFFC family, someone who is promoting the NFFC as vigorously as anyone we know. Brian Swaw of Lockport, Illinois has a weekly fantasy football show on ESPN Radio 1000 in Chicago and he also has started up a website called www.GameTimeDecisions. net and he is jumping into the competition as he's joining us for the NFFC's main event at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Brian has recruited some buddies and is telling his subscriber base all about the NFFC right now. Tom and I will meet him next week in Chicago and talk things over beers, for sure. Welcome aboard Brian and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
