Who's Coming To The 2006 NFFC And Where?

Post by Tom Kessenich » Fri Aug 25, 2006 3:22 am

We're happy to welcome a new member to the NFFC and one of the industry's finest as Chase Stuart from footballguys.com has decided to join the fray in new York this year. Joe Bryant has guaranteed that Chase is going to win the $100,000 so hopefully he's up to the task of making his boss look good. Welcome aboard Chase and good luck in the hunt for the $5,000 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Greg/Tom - you should stay open to adding another league in Sin City - the FFtournament the week after has only four slots left there, so after they sell out this weekend you will be the only choice for the procrastinators.

And Tom - tell Joe B that if Chase plans on using his QBBC or DSBBC he won't win a subway ticket home.

Scott Simonetti officially moves into the New York $650 Auction League as we have closed that one off now and will NOT have a second auction league in New York. We had hoped for two, but wil finalize this one and pick the nomination order in a few minutes. Thanks Fandango and welcome back to the auction league.

We officially have 13 paid signups for the New York Draft Champions League and will fill that league and have no teleconference there. That means we will also have just one Draft Champions League in Chicago, so we apologize to those owners who had signed up for a second league. One of the participants on the list for the NY Draft champions League may have to back out as we have 14 signups right now, so contact me ASAP if you want that final spot. Thanks everyone and it looks like everything is falling into place nicely. Hang tight and maybe we'll get the main event finalized soon, too.

Thomas Greenwald is moving from the Chicago Draft Champions to the Chicago Auction League. He's going to bring his A Game to the event as he dips into the auction waters. Welcome aboard Thomas and good luck in your bid to win the $3,350 first-place prize.

Alan Narz of Casselberry, Florida has agreed to join us in Chicago for the NFFC's main event, giving us 83 owners in the Windy City. Alan had his own team in the main event in 2004 and teamed up with Mike Ward of TEAM NEW last year in the main event and the Ultimate League. Alan and Mike finished third in the Ultimate League last year and won $7,500. Welcome back Alan and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

I should have known where to turn when looking for one last signup in Chicago, but fortunately George Kleemann was one step ahead of me and called me instead. George is already entered in the NFFC's main event, but today he talked his sons into grabbing a spot in the Windy City. Let's give it up for the tag team of Michael and Chris Kleemann of Island Lake, Illinois as they will join us on Saturday, Sept. 2nd at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott. Michael is currently competing in our NFBC main event and is battling for the Chicago League 3 title there. We're glad to have you guys on board now for football and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

That's 84 signups for Chicago, although we have a little work to do yet on payments. Hold tight as there still may be one spot open here. We're working on that final spot right now.

Thanks again George. And remember, read the Daily Racing Form tomorrow.

Okay, Chicago is locked down and done for the NFFC's main event. Dennis Cassidy of Lee's Summit, Missouri becomes owner No. 84 in the Windy City as we now officially have six full leagues for the Saturday, Sept. 2nd event. Dennis has already done five NFFC Satellite Leagues and he desperately wanted to make it to the live event, but work was getting in the way. He obviously found a way to clear his schedule and now will be joining us at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott. Welcome aboard Dennis and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
