Good luck if you tried to run up the middle against the 1960s Chicago Bears and MLB Dick Butkus. Every play against Da Bears at that time was THE LONGEST YARD.

Daryl "Moose" Johnston had an eye for football long before he moved to the broadcast booth at Fox Sports. He also led Emmitt Smith threw a lot of big holes on the way to three Super Bowl titles. It's perfect to have a Moose tell us that there are ONLY 48 DAYS UNTIL THE 2019 NFL SEASON OPENER!!

I'm late with this one today because we had a tornado a few miles from Iola yesterday and power was just restored after being down for the last 15 hours. That tornado hit like a Mel Blount tackle and the pain is still there. NOW ONLY 47 DAYS UNTIL THE 2019 NFL SEASON OPENER.

The famous Chicago Bears "46" defense was named after Doug Plank, who wore number 46. While I didn't honor him yesterday, I'll make up for it today with a photo of Gary Fencik, who hit as hard as Plank. Both players are ready to let you know that there are ONLY 45 DAYS UNTIL THE 2019 NFL SEASON OPENER IN CHICAGO!!

Nobody wanted to tackle John Riggins in the open field....or in closed fields for that matter. Riggo was a beast with the Redskins and he's the perfect one to announce that there are ONLY 44 DAYS UNTIL THE 2019 NFL SEASON OPENER!!
Damn, I had hair like that in the '70s. Thanks Riggo!!

BAD ASS!!! That's what No. 43 was. Just a BAD ASS, GREAT FOOTBALL PLAYER. And so much damn fun to watch. Pittsburgh's Troy Palamalu declares that there are NOW ONLY 43 DAYS UNTIL THE 2019 NFL SEASON OPENER IN CHICAGO!!

He was a ballhawk and a WINNER as one of the best defensive players in NFL history. Ronnie Lott played through injuries and even cut part of his finger off during an NFL game after he smashed it on a guy's helmet. That's worthy of announcing that there are ONLY 42 DAYS LEFT UNTIL THE 2019 NFL SEASON OPENER IN CHICAGO!!!
