Has there been any resolution to the Wednesday/Friday FAAB deadline for the Thursday NFL games? As I recall, we were trying to find out if STATS could restrict the Wednesday pickups to ONLY players that were playing on Thursday. Many were in agreement that this was the best solution.

I do not have an answer yet from STATS. I need to get that ASAP. My goal would be to do what you're asking, but I need to make sure STATS can do it first.

...TOGA?...TOGA?...TOGA?...

Drafting at the Travers? Or is there still a Playboy Club in NJ somewhere?

I wouldn't take the time to go to one of those casinos...Hopefully you've got an ace up your sleeve....I mean how long can you really play slots? I needs me some roulette and craps and maybe a little Holdem...I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

*My son said you're still a poo poo head....LMAO sorry, don't kill the messenger! Something better up our sleeves. Stay tuned. ;)

Kill Tom. He picked the photos. And always get them in ASAP. Those who provide photos first get in the first issue. It's as easy as that. Now if you were to win one of those BIG checks, we'd GUARANTEE a spot in the magazine, maybe even on the cover. :D

I've been called MUCH worse by other folks in the NFFC. Poo-poo sounds kind of nice, actually.
Must say, I would be a even bigger fan of Greg and Tom's if they would move this to AC. Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods, would be ok. But AC is what I want to see. One less trip into the City would be Great by me.

The things I would like to see:
1. 14 team League will always be the Main League of the NFFC, with KDS and 3RR.

2. Push this Contest up to 600 or 1,000 or higher amount of players.

3. League payouts to go up.

4. Payouts for 2nd overall thru 10th overall, and higher as well. I know you need the numbers.

5. TV or Radio coverage. I've lost 40 lbs. so I'm working on this as we speak. ;)

Again can't thank you guys enough, because I feel that NFFC and Fantasy Football is ready for that next step. Greg when you said to Glenn at the NFL draft 'I don't know if there will be a NFFC next year, I cried for weeks, now I am like this :D .

Now we all can make some money$$

Thanks Greg and Tom for pulling this off,

John

Okay guys, I'm back working days, so I can chime in occasionally again.

1-My son said you(Greg and Tom) are poo poo heads for saying he and I would be in the second edition of your mag this year(our pic), and when I bought it, we weren't there. So you guys are on his poo poo list. lol

2-Congratulations on your new joint venture and pay raise and stability of the NFFC...I have to admit, I haven't said anything yet because I was a bit shell shocked when I read that you guys weren't 100% sure if the NFFC was going to survive this season, just a few months ago. I never for a second thought there was any thought of the NFFC going under, and it would have totally surprised me, as well as messed up my entire fantasy schedule (which I plan in APRIL!)

3-I'm glad things went through for you guys, and for us, who've been here for 7 years now. I truly hope this stays the event that it's been and not a computer generated entity, after this season plays out. I gave up the WCFF after 1 season, even though I won $5,000 in my first try with them, because I'd rather play where I'm noticed. Even a little bit. And treated like a peer as well, instead of a customer who, as soon as they're paid, disappears from their "to do list". Marc,

1. Sorry on this one. We had five folks who didn't get in because of space constraints. We apologize, but hopefully with more mags next year we can make sure we get everyone in.

2. I think you heard this wrong from Glenn. We never said the NFFC wouldn't survive. At the NFL Draft, I knew what was going on behind the scenes with the sale and I responded to Glenn's question with a hint of mystery. I knew something had to change to keep the NFFC in its current format with its current payout structure because folks here were demanding change. Thankfully Fanball stepped up and going forward you'll see that they saved what we already had in place.

3. Again, just because CDM runs online leagues, we're not trying to drive our LIVE events to an all-online format. Just the opposite. We want to be in MORE cities with more contests and more sports. Stay tuned. I think we may have some good ideas about the live events and expand the fun and number of people who will be attending. Again, we want to EXPAND our live presence, not move everyone to online leagues.

Hope this helps. Marc, you've always been one of our best die-hards in this format and supporter of what we're doing. Getting together for the NFL Draft party was just another extension of how we want to be part of our customer base even outside our live drafts. Nothing will change in that area with Tom and I still on board. It can't, or it wouldn't be the NFFC anymore.
What I was curious about the pics were that some people's pics were in BOTH mags. If I didn't have my son in the pic, I really wouldn't have cared so much, but I had to spend nearly 3 hours in Chuck E Cheese making up for it, when he noticed we weren't in there...lol

And moving on from that, I would STRONGLY suggest that if this organization is going to BLOW UP, I would love for you to throw up the idea of having Atlantic City as a Draft City for one seaosn and see how it works. Even if it's a few leagues, it's a place where we can ALL get hammered, and I honestly belive will create GREAT NFFC memories. I know how hard it is to book rooms that weekend, but Atlantic City is the East Coast's VEGAS...Hell, I'd even do Foxwoods if you had to...

But the girls doing the stickers would be my second choice....

And More drink tickets is a given!!!! I'm doing both Auctions this year, and I intend on drinking as many drink tickets as I can sift out of Tom's picket. And that's only before we go out for a few brews after the auctions.
Should of taken out the Fat guy, and replaced him with Young Diesel, I would of had no problem with that, Marc's the Man.

The fact that nobody has won more than two league titles in five years says that we need more data before nominating anyone soon. Do you consider the live DC's as one of your "different formats"? How many 1st places (first or seconds) would a team need to win in 10 live DC contests (or any other format) to be considered a HOF? Since few teams have won three in five years ... I would assume 2 of 5 twice in a row would be impressive (4 of 10?) 5 of 10 HOF level?. Just curious.

1. Who is ranked #1 after 10 years is over.
2. Who has the highest point ave. after 10 years with at least 5 years played.
3. All 10 Overall winners, minus your first year of course. :D

This would have 12 guys getting in after 10 years, than you could add 1 or 2 players every year after that?

Thanks Greg and Tom for pulling this off,

John Thanks Ken. All of the comments are much appreciated and we'll keep the AC comments on file for the future locations.

I didn't say to Glenn that the NFFC wouldn't be around. He asked about the NFFC in 2010 and I honestly told him our future as is with the NFFC format was 50-50. I meant that knowing that some type of change was forthcoming and if a sale didn't come through there were changes being asked of me with our prize format that I didn't feel comfortable making. I wasn't sure I could do that and stay on board.

As it is, Fanball's purchase came at a perfect time for our contest, for our players and for the future of the NFBC and NFFC. I knew what was going on behind the scenes as we partied during the NFL Draft and I was concerned about our future being as good as our past. NOT ANYMORE!!!

If someone dominates in the Draft Champions format or the Auction League format for a number of years, they definitely would be considered for the NFFC Hall of Fame. The NFL Hall of Fame allows other positions outside of QB and RB, right, so why would we just feature the main event participants?? The more games we offer – 12-team dominance now has to be taken into consideration too – the more Hall of Famers I hope we have. We WANT to reward our top players in this cyber Hall of Fame.

John I made this same comment on our NFBC boards, I don't believe that winning one overall title consitutes automatic Hall of Fame induction. I think we need to see consistency from year to year in that format to be in the NFFC HOF. That will be the criteria we are looking for and that first class of inductees could have the top DC players, the top Auction League players, maybe even the Top Online Championship players. Should be fun, but one overall title doesn't get it done in my book.
