Who's Coming To The 2006 NFFC And Where?
Our high-stakes event in Las Vegas wouldn't be the same without Shawn Childs of Forestdale, Massachusetts with us. Shawn has been a regular of the NFBC and NFFC since our inception in 2004 and he's been one of our most successful participants in each sport, winning two NFBC league titles and one NFFC league title in two years. Shawn led CC's Desperados to a third place finish and $500 last year in Las Vegas League 4 with an 8-5 record and 1,655.6 points, placing 55th overall. He just missed a playoff spot and then finished with 440.26 points in the Consolation Round. His CC's Desperados Auction League team wasn't as successful as it finished 5-8 with 1,452.35 points, while missing the playoffs. Shawn will be back for the main event and the $1,250 Auction League on Sept. 1-2 at the Stardust Resort & Casino in Las Vegas as we're working on our second main event league there and have five owners for the debut $1,250 Auction League. Welcome back, Shawn, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $8,000+ in auction league prizes.

Who's Coming To The 2006 NFFC And Where?
We're glad to welcome back the tag team of Daren Eliason and Bill Gehring of Beulah, North Dakota to the NFFC as both will be coming to Las Vegas for the third straight year. Daren and Bill won an NFFC Auction League title in 2004, but fell on hard times last year as their Team Eliason finished 3-10 in Las Vegas League 1 of the main event and 3-10 in the Las Vegas $650 Auction League 1. But Daren and Bill are determined to turn things around this year and have signed up for the main event on Saturday, Sept. 2nd at the Stardust Resort & Casino and for the $650 Auction League on Friday, Sept. 1st. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $4,000+ in auction league prizes.

New York receives another returning member as Joe Amato is back in the NFFC mix for 2006, returning to the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 2nd for the main event. Joe led his MIKIE BONES team to a first place finish worth $5,000 in New York League 2 last year as it finished 10-3 with 1,644.65 points, good enough for 65th overall. In the quest for the $100,000 grand prize, MIKIE BONES finished 36th with 464.92 points. Nice run, Joe, and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're always happy when a member of our NFBC event decides to take the plunge and join us for football as well. That's the case with Doug Moore of Modesto, CA (I have family in Modesto, Doug. ), who will be heading to the Windy City with his co-owner Brian Southerland in September. Welcome to the NFFC and good luck in the hunt for the $5,000 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Who's Coming To The 2006 NFFC And Where?
We're glad to welcome back our only two-time defending champion in the Draft Champions League format as the tag team of Mike Ferre and Daryl Lechniak of Peoria, Illinois has signed up for the Chicago events again. Mike and Daryl led their Ugly Green Tomatoes team to a dominating first place finish in the Chicago Draft Champions League last year, finishing with 2,679.5 points and winning by 300 points. They also won in 2004 in impressive fashion. They will be back in Chicago on Friday, Sept. 1st for the Draft Champions League and the Auction League as we now have nine auction league teams in the Windy City and seven DC teams. Mike and Darryl led their UYT Bubba's House team to a 7-6 record in the Auction League last year, but they failed to make the playoffs with 1,550.75 points. Now if we could just get these guys in the main event! Welcome back guys and best of luck again in the hunt for the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize and the $4,000+ in Auction League prizes.
