Are you new to the NFFC? QBs and TEs, on top of being some of the more consistent fantasy players, are worth gold in this scoring format because QBs get 6 pt TDs and the gaps between top tier and last of starters can be vast. However, when we look at teams posted out here, it's easy to be wowed by the many great WRs and RBs, because we only start one QB and one TE.

Don't discount them though. This team has rather large holes at two positions, IMO.

QBs are definitely an issue, but I think your totally wrong about the TEs. I'll take Gronkowski over anyone outside of the top 5. Davis has serious upside as well since I doubt Cooley plays more than half a season. We shall see.

I don't know about your TE projections, but I have Finley/Gates around 234, Daniels/Winslow/Graham from 187 down to 171, and Gronkowski MAYBE around 150. That makes him still a starter and decent late-round value. But your WRs/RBs need to makeup potentially 80+ compared to teams who reach for top TEs (and you may be able to). Even to the mid-tier, it's still close to 40 pts.

At QB, I have top tier at 410-420, Bradford around 350, so there's another 60-70 points compared to top tier. Even to the Schaub/Ryan/Ben tier (380+), Bradford's 30-40 points off.

So, IMO, you MAY be giving up 40-80 pts at TE and another 30-70 at QB, which is 70-150. That's an awful lot of points to makeup at WR/RB. Of course, like most who take this approach, you're probably hoping for breakouts at your QB and TE positions. Ask people who took this approach with Flacco, Kolb, Stafford, etc. how they made out last year. ;) It CAN work, but then again, maybe not.

Needless to say, I have different TE projections.

The only thing certain about Owen Daniels is that he's going to get hurt.

And I presume you also expect Hernandez to fall off the face of the earth? Or will he still catch 40-50 AND Gronk will too? Yeah, and Welker, Ocho, Branch... they'll just have to be happy with all the scraps after the TEs combine for over 100 catches?

You mean the Aaron Hernandez that had 16 targets and 11 catches the last 8 weeks of the season combined as compared to 40 targets for Gronkowski? Or is there a different one that Brady actually throws the ball too?

Yes we will. My guess after all this is that Bradford and Gronkowski will be awesome and the rest of my team will suck.
