I appreciate your post and think you are right that I (and many others) at times do not realize how "tone" conveys here. The post to KJ Duke is a perfect example. He complained about my post that was sort of replying to him and I re read it 3 times and still think HE is the one misunderstanding. All I did was "ask" if he read my post. I didn't attack him, I didn't "accuse" him of anything. I asked if he read my post because he brought up an "imagine if THIS happened" scenario that I had already said actually happened to me this week. My reply was harmless, my reply was reasonable, but people get overly sensitive.

I posted a lot here in the early years. Then over the last few seasons backed off of my message board activity because of how hostile some here get. This place is a ghost town now. You are right that I don't care about "this." This being message board teenager dramatics. I DO CARE about talking football with expert level football minds. That is all I am interested in here. I have no interest in the "hey guys, look at me!!! how cool is my diss I just laid on this guy?!?!?" antics that other people get in to.

People who know me know I don't take things very seriously at all. I am as light hearted as anyone and joke about everything. I and forced to repeat things here because in football debates/discussions some other people tend to ignore points because for them it is about bickering and not about rational exchanges of football discussion.

The topic about whether special teams guys should be rewarded with 6 points is ABSOLUTELY WORTHY of discussion here. It absolutely belongs on this message board. But someone is trying to shout me down for daring to bring it up. If anyone ever legitimately cared about why this (or any) message board struggles, that is an example. when someone tries to fuel discussion on a completely legit topic, and someone else tells them they are not allowed to.

All I can say is that I wish more FOOTBALL TALK went on here among guys I respect as football experts. Very little of it goes on among anyone.

It is unfortunate.
