Ronnie Brown's not a bad call, Gordon. Where I would differ with you, though, is that a lot of people like Brown quite a bit this year. Maybe not enough to consistently rank him inside the Top 10 but people do like him. Portis was a guy a lot of folks were really down on last year with one notable exception. But that's what made him great value -- a lot of folks wanted nothing to do with him and so he slid into the second round and was a legit RB1 pick there. Brown could end up doing something similar (Rudi Johnson did it as well last season, same with Barber), but the reasons would be different.

So my Portis pick would be a guy who people are really down on who I think is going to be better than they expect. I wouldn't classify Brown there. I would put Favre in that group, though, and I'm starting to feel a little itch about McGahee that way too.

Not sure if I just need to scratch that and be done with it or what just yet.

Not sure if I just need to scratch that and be done with it or what just yet. I have seen Brown go as high as #4 in some drafts, and never later than #10 (as of late). I know one regular MB'er who has a BIG TIME boner for Ronnie! :D

That being said, I think you could add Kevin Jones into that "2nd round bargain" list, and you should probably take him at the top of round 2! He is due to bust out this year!!!

I'm starting to feel that Kevin Jones Love again too, Billy. God help me but I'm starting to think that having two of the guys who killed me the most last year (McGahee and Jones) are guys I want to chase this year.
