I can remember several years when I kept my money and wish I would have put in a "crazy" bid for some no name player that ended up breaking out that year.

Heck, if I knew it was going to be Clayton I would have bid $1,000 on him. I bid anywhere from about 70 to 500 depending on my need at WR. I guess that just makes me half dumb!

Wayne [/QUOTE]My point is that there is a BIG difference between bidding $200 or even $400 on a guy like Clayton (which I did) and bidding $985 (or $700). The former might make sense. The latter basically screws you for the season if you're wrong, and maybe screws your season even if you're right.

If I"m going that kind of money it would be on a RB in a high powered offense that isn't going to be sharing carries.

My favorite bid seen was Brandon Lloyd for a dollar, about right there, but dropping Mike Sims-Walker!

Brandon Jackson and B Scott were the top 2 handcuffs to draft after round 10 or so in my rankings.

Respectfully disagree on Jackson. I think he keeps starting. The kid has gradually improved each season and he doesn't need to be a special or game-breaking back to be successful for the Packers this year.

I think a lot of the high Clayton bids have to do with Austin last year. Did nothing for a couple of weeks and was dropped in a lot of leagues, my Classic and Primetime. Remember him going for $400-$600, maybe some $700 bids after his breakout week. Nothing like some of these bids tonight. I bet some of those huge bids are guys who bid too low for Austin last year. Just thinking out loud.
