Greg or Tom, is the Chicago auction needing 3 more to fill? This thread says 11 are signed up. The all sign-ups thread has 9 listed. The ones not on the all sign-ups list are Dave Cushard and Scott Meyer. Are they in?

Come on Chicago let's recruit and fill this up! Hopefully we just need 3.

Who's Coming To The 2010 NFFC In Chicago?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Aug 15, 2010 1:02 am

Okay, we lost one owner for the Chicago Auction League last week but we picked one back up yesterday when Paul Farley of Appleton, Wisconsin jumped in. Paul gives us 11 owners for the NFFC Auction Championship at 4 pm at Trackside Arlington Park, leaving us with only THREE SPOTS LEFT. We are still missing several owners from last year's auction, including our defending champion, so anything is possible yet. Tom and I are making several phone calls and we're hopeful that the Chicago Auction League will still fill up. In fact, don't we always go down to the wire in Chicago for this fun league?

Let's see what we can do, but here's the list of 11 and we'll seek three more owners yet:

CHICAGO
Friday, Sept. 3 4 p.m. CST

Good news here: I was in contact with two auction participants from last year and both will likely be rejoining the Chicago Auction Championship on Friday, Sept. 3rd. We're definitely getting closer here. Get your dollar values ready because the Windy City is going to be bidding again!! :D

Can you feel it Windy City?? We're getting closer to a full auction league and I think we just need one more owner to step up and we'll be full. Mike King of Greenfield, Wisconsin is returning to Chicago for this one, giving us 12 owners right now. Thanks Mike and welcome aboard.

I talked with Bill Cleavenger yesterday and he's on vacation in Florida. But Bill said he will likely do both Friday events, so I will definitely keep one auction league spot warm for him. That puts us at 13, with some past members asking about Chicago. We'll continue to make some phone calls and get it done. But I feel A LOT better about our chances now in Chicago. Still one more step to take, but we're close.

Now we need to get four more owners in Las Vegas.

Here's the lineup card so far:

CHICAGO
Friday, Sept. 3 4 p.m. CST
1. Billy Wasosky, Richmond, Virginia
2. Wayne Ellis, Evansville, Indiana
3. Jim Wiseheart, New Albany, Indiana
4. Darren Fecich, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania
5. Jack Haan, Palos Heights, Illinois
6. Bill Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado
7. Christopher Cosley, Rolling Meadows, Illinois
8. Chris Eibl, Chicago, Illinois
9. Mike Ferre, Peoria, Illinois
10. Dave Cushard, Jackson, Michigan
11. Paul Farley, Appleton, Wisconsin
12. Mike King, Greenfield, Wisconsin
13. William Cleavenger, Morganfield, Kentucky (tentative)

[/QUOTE]You gotta watch out for that Mike King. He won it last year and is storming up the standings in our NFBC auction.

Michael Welp is joining the auction fun in Chicago. If Bill Cleavenger is on board that means this league is full. I'm sure the temptation will be too strong for Bill to resist. We'll firm this league up but it's looking like it's now full.

1. Billy Wasosky, Richmond, Virginia
2. Wayne Ellis, Evansville, Indiana
3. Jim Wiseheart, New Albany, Indiana
