I'm jumping in late here, so I hope I'm not repeating an older post, but since San Diego is the topic de jur...With the condition of the O-Line and running game, it may be an excellent opportunity for Rivers to score major fantasy numbers this year. I liked him before, but with no running game, I like him even more. Does anyone think he can out do his 34 TD season last year? ...good point D...my own SNAKElist had the Top 5 QB's ranked like this right before the Draft;

Snake are you forgetting someone , ROMO.

1) Handsome Tommy
2) Brees
3) Rivers
4) Schaub
5) Rodgers

...so the answer to your Q here is yes - absolutely!...again, we shall see...GK

What was worse.

1. Having Garrard has your starting QB for week 5 and Simms-Walker, you know the rest.

2. Drafting and than cutting M.Austin.

3. Cutting Eddie Royal and picking up starting S.Hurd,M.Furrey and R.Royal.

4. Drafting LT and than betting that he will score more than 148 points the rest of the year.

LT was stuffed an incredible eight times inside the 5-yard line, even with Norv Turner clearly forcing the issue late in the game. He didn't get much help from his blockers, but there's no doubt the old LT would have converted several of the opportunities. Though the 71 yards were a season-high, it's little solace for fantasy owners.
