ANY H2H league that doesn't offer SOMETHING for the regular season points leader, H2H leader, etc. IS NOT the best.... PERIOD!

In the TWO other H2H formats in the NFFC, (Main and auction) teams ARE REWARDED for what they do in the regular season (H2H and total points). Yes, the "big" money is on the end in the playoffs, but rewarding NOTHING for a good (in my case DOMINATING) reguar season is not fair, and certainly doesn't qualify as the BEST format. :rolleyes:

You know this is true.

P.S. The Mag leagues don't give anything for regular season, but in fairness, those are FREE leagues.

Wow! I guess the other 3 playoff teams and myself have unofficially been eliminated already.

Not at all guys, as I am just saying if I lose to ANYONE, that I am not a fan of getting NOTHING for a great regular season.

The way this league is set up, it is all about playing the right teams at the right time.

Knowing the "values" of most in this league, I am betting something that rewards points more is more desired for this league format in the future.

And believe me, I KNOW with you ringers that the chance of me leading this league in points again next year is about the same as Snake climbing out of the 300's in the Main.

(nearly impossible!)

Weren't the Colts the best team in football last year during the regular season and got nothing for losing in the AFC championship? Life's a b*tch and then there are playoffs.

Excellent season, Billy. You are being rewarded for your season with a first round bye which all but assures you of cashing. If you lose Weeks 15 and 16, then your team either wasn't as good as you thought it was or luck ran against you. Either way, the first 13 weeks aren't supposed to be "rewarded" but to put you in a "position" to win the championship. Start looking at fantasy football like the NFL; the regular season isn't celebrated or rewarded by the NFL but only used to get to "showtime". Why should fantasy football be any different?

Of course your team, Billy, is quite nice so it really doesn't matter how many pts against.

Myself 1558 pt against, which is a lil skewed with Fisher's 198 last week. Every H2H I league I play in, I seem to encounter one of the highest scoring teams each week. This has been true in my local leagues, main last year as well as this year. In our Chicago 6, the 2nd place team has a big 1313 scored against them, lowest in the league, which is about 200 pts less than Jeff's team, as well as mine. I would love to see pts be the deciding factor for league champs, but with all of the BBDS drama, I doubt this change will find any room to be talked about.

I see your point Rick, but would you throw down $1,250 to play in the Main just to see the top 10 or so OVERALL get paid (everybody starting with a clean slate and no advantage)?

I doubt you would, and I doubt there would be an NFFC.

In the "grand scheme" of things, this is a small $100 satellite so I SUPPOSE (not that I obviously agree with it) that setting it up like the NFL (there is a reason it is FANTASY football) is all right.

The fact that I would wager that 80%+ of the leagues out there (local and otherwise) reward SOMETHING (in addition to a bye) should say enough.

I'm sorry, but I am all about eliminating as much luck as possible when I play anything. Total points is simple....my players scored more than yours....end of story.

Didn't you take a beating 2 years ago in the Main because of H2H, Rick? Didn't it suck to know you had a GREAT team, but were getting beat by "inferior teams" due to RANDOM LUCK?

I know Snake experienced it in the Main last year also, so he of all people should see where I am coming from.

Anyhow, it is again only a $100, so it isn't a huge deal.

I got MUCH bigger things on the agenda from here on out, and I know you do too Rick!!!
