2012 Las Vegas Tentative Schedule Of Events
Posted: Tue Feb 21, 2012 5:23 am
Okay, this is our first year of really having a full-blown schedule of events over two weekends for all regions of the country in the NFFC. This is definitely going to be a work in progress and so we're going to ask for your input before we finalize everything. We're all excited about what the future holds for the NFFC, but we have to be smart with our announced guarantees and our planned live events. So we're going to take our time with all of this and think this through.
We also are having some issues with venues on the East Coast and don't have a solution yet for either weekend. We're looking, but our normal Manhattan locations are booked solid both weekends. We have to get creative this year on the East Coast. We also are finalizing some interesting plans in Las Vegas as well, so stay tuned on the venues because we definitely don't have any signed contracts yet. In Chicago, we can definitely return to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare on either weekend if folks are comfortable there again.
The first thing we'd like to do is finalize the Schedule of Events in each city, starting with Las Vegas. We will be in Sin City both weekends, giving folks a chance to enjoy the first weekend of the college football season and the first weekend of the NFL season. We believe the second weekend will now be our main weekend for most drafters, but if Labor Day weekend works better for you and you'd like to save some time for the Auction and Draft Champions leagues, then maybe the first weekend will work better -- or as well for those who want to do multiple weekends of drafts.
And this year we will again offer the Classic and Primetime inbetween the weekends. We'll offer these Online, but I can host live drafters in Las Vegas as well. I'll put them on this list as a Las Vegas/Online offering. Remember, everyone in both contests will have the luxury of watching the Thursday Night Game and setting their lineups AFTER the games no matter when they draft.
Okay, let's look at the schedule. Again, let's start with Las Vegas and work around:
