I wanted to provide an update about New York since some folks have been asking. We're still finalizing our host location but I'm hopeful we'll get that done very soon. I don't want to jinx anything
but we have a Manhattan location that we believe will be very well received. Now we just need to get things finalized and get the ball rolling.
We are planning on being in New York for both weekends and all of our events are on Registration. So if you want to join me on the East Coast for one or both weekends you can sign up NOW and reserve your spots and you'll be all set to go. Here's a look at our schedule of events. It is possible we could add a Classic and/or Primetime on Aug. 31 if there's enough interest. If that's something you'd like to see let us know. But for now the first weekend's Main Events are scheduled for Saturday as has been the case every year previously.
Friday, Aug. 31
Draft Champions (14 teams) Noon ET
Auction (14 teams) 5 pm ET
Saturday, Sept. 1

Primetime 6 pm ET
Sunday, Sept. 2

Friday Sept. 7

Will "Off the Wagon" be able to hold that many people?
I'm assuming you rented the upstairs as well?

There's an upstairs? Sweet.

That's how I remember it.
Before the drinking began.

This is a new location for the NFFC, but Tom's hard work in contacting so many different hotels for both weekends has paid off. We have the contract and should be able to announce the location very shortly. If everything goes through as expected, we'll host both weekends in Manhattan and give East Coast players a nice venue and flexible dates and times to join our leagues. This is a very good location for those people who can take the train into the city. I'm excited about the possibilities in Manhattan both weekends.
No other contest is doing regional drafts and we certainly understand why. It takes a lot of manpower and it's costly to host live drafts in three different locations. Nobody has ever even tried to host an event in Manhattan outside of the NFBC and NFFC. And now we're doing it TWICE!! Call us crazy, but again I think we'll get good support at this location and provide a really good experience for our football die-hards. Not everyone can draft on Labor Day weekend and we understand that, but we also know that not everyone can draft on the First Weekend of the NFL season, so we're providing two options. Let's make it work.
We're looking forward to announcing this site. Feel safe in planning for a Manhattan location on both weekends and we'll again have auctions and Draft Champions Leagues both Fridays and Main Events both Saturdays. Kudos to Tom for finding this new location.

Nothing we can say officially unfortunately. We have a location picked out and we're working on finalizing the contract as we speak. Once that is done we'll let everyone know. Sorry things are taking a little longer than expected in NY but the good news is we have a location in Manhattan and it's one we believe people are going to be very happy with.

Sounds Great! And any place to draft is a good place in my book.
