NFFC Magazine Draft On Tuesday, July 10th
Posted: Fri Jun 29, 2012 12:48 pm
Okay, as I stated last week we are back in the magazine business and we'll have a co-branded NFFC fantasy football issue on newsstands in early August. I can't disclose all of the details yet because the ink on the contract isn't dry yet, but it will be a nice publication with a veteran publisher who is pushing our NFFC brand and scoring system. Tom and I are writing all of the player profiles now and we are in charge of hosting a 12-team mock draft for the magazine.
That draft will be held on Tuesday, July 10th at 7 pm EST with a mix of industry writers and NFFC veterans. I've invited five NFFC national champions and five industry writers to participate, leaving us with a few openings at the minimum. We'll post all of the draft results in this magazine and heck we can play out the league if folks want to. We'll see about that after I see how good or bad I drafted!!
Anyway, here's the details and who the invites went out to:
NFFC Magazine Mock Draft
Tuesday, July 10th, 7 pm EST
NFFC Primetime style draft, 12 teams, 20 rounds, 3RR/KDS
Greg Ambrosius
Tom Kessenich
Rotowire.com/MockDraftCentral.com
RotoExperts.com
John Hansen/FantasyGuru.com
Dave Clum, 2011 NFFC Primetime national champion
Michael Treffiletti, 2011 NFFC Classic national champion
Joseph Treffiletti, 2011 NFFC Slow Draft national champion
John Rundle, 2011 NFFC Online Championship national champion
Wayne Ellis, 2011 NFFC Draft Champions national champion
Okay, I'll randomly pick the 2 open spots from anyone who has either already signed up for an NFFC live event or who signs up for a new live event by Wednesday, July 4. If you've already signed up for an NFFC live event and want to participate, just email me at [email protected] and I'll add you to the list. I'll then add any new signups to the list this weekend and through the Fourth of July and on Thursday we'll pick the two owners for those open spots. If anyone above can't join the mock draft, then we'll fill their spot with anyone from this list.
Okay, let the fun begin and shoot me an email if you're interested in participating. We'll let the computer decide who gets these final spots and plan accordingly. It should be a fun night of drafting and we'll definitely post some of the results here. Oh, and don't forget to start securing your spots in the 2012 NFFC. Time to get serious about locking in those live event spots now!!
