Sunday, July 22nd Draft Champions Is SOLD OUT
Posted: Sun Jul 15, 2012 7:48 am
Our Draft Champions National Championship is off to a good start already with 19 leagues either in the books or started, including 3 leagues that were done on one night rather than in the slow draft format. All of these participants are in line for the $10,000 grand prize that will go to the team with the most overall points through 16 weeks. Best of luck to everyone there.
The slow draft format is working fine and the One Round Auto feature is allowing owners to Que up their next pick and have the computer pick just one player automatically. That is helping to move things along. But some folks love the DC format but would rather draft their team in the normal way on one night over 30 rounds. We've created that format as well, kind of a fast/slow draft. We kind of call it NFFC "bowling night" and we've done them on Friday nights so far.
We had a great time this past Friday night as we finished 30 rounds in 3 hours with 14 solid, solid owners. Unfortunately, Tom and I will be travelling this Friday and can't host another "bowling night" this Friday, but we will host one on Sunday night starting at 7 pm ET. I know this excludes most of our NFBC brethren because they will be busy setting FAAB for their baseball teams, but we'll return with a Friday night offering on the 27th. For now, let's try for Sunday, July 22nd and see if we can get our football-only die-hards to bring their bowling shoes and their A games to Sunday nights.
It's a Sunday Night Special: $150 per team, 30 rounds, 3RR/KDS and 60 seconds per pick. If you want to do it, just post your intentions here or email me at [email protected]. If we can get to 14 teams we'll run it on Sunday night. This will still be part of the national championship, so you'll be fighting for the Top 3 league prizes ($950 for 1st) and the $10,000 grand prize. Let's make Sunday night a regular draft night as well. Thanks all.
