14 Team DC - What's a good score?

Post by Big Cheese » Tue Sep 11, 2012 12:01 am

This is my first year playing this format and I've got 4 teams in the 145-165 range, which seem to vary from mid-low to mid-high in my leagues. However, I do have one team over 200 and I haven't seen any others that high. What kind of average does it take to win this thing? I'm just curious as to what kind of average I'm shooting for. I'm sure there's a benchmark. I know last year in the online event I thought 150-160 gave me a decent chance to win each week but this is a little different.

Thanks for any feedback.

2700 to 2800 total points will probably win a league. 2550+ could get you in the top 3. Of course, this all depends on the strength of the league. If you're averaging over 160 pts per week, especially after the bye weeks, you're in good shape.

The BWaz is one of the toughest 14 team DC's each year. Here's last years top 4 results.
2727 - 1st
2545 - 2nd
2523 - 3rd
2443 - 4th

Hope this helps.

Also, the full PPR for RB this year should make the winning scores a little higher. Might want to assume another 5 points per week and 75 for the year vs. comparable numbers from last year.

Thanks guys for the info. Appreciate your reply's. I figured with byes and attrition that the scores will drop off quite a bit as the season moves on. 173 per game for a whole season was quite feat last year. That's some good drafting. Gonna need some of those late rounders to eventually pan out to get that high.

Good luck this season.
